I grew up with 2 dogs and one cat in my family, always loved the dogs as most young boys would but never had much time for the cat, mainly because she had no time for me and was boring as hell.

2 years ago when I was going through a difficult time in my life we ended up adpoting a cat that came wondering round our garden without a collar and looking very hungry. She gradually went from a skittish little thing that lived in our driveway to the most affectionate cat I've ever seen and most beloved pet I've ever had. She was only with me for several years but entered my life at the perfect time, a loving affectionate companion that would regulalry jump up and appear concerned whenever I was feeling down. She was an angel that entered my life and brought me solice when I needed it the most.

I know animals experiance a variety of emotions, its very easy to tell when a dog is happy, scared or guilty for example. If I were ever going to debate over whether animals feel love, the affection this cat showed me would be my primary argument. She was a member of my family, a much loved companion, and I'm not ashamed to say I cried my eyes out when I eventually lost her to cancer. Her memory lives with me.

Steal my car, my computer, my watch, whatever material possesion I happen to own and I'll be pissed off for a while.

Steal a beloved member of my family and I'll cut your fucking balls off.

I could never understand why someone would want to steal a cat, there's stray cats like everywhere (?) Weird.
