Mokai performs his 100% organic acoustic blues this Friday in Santa Rosa.

Friday, July 22
Aroma Roasters
95 5th Street
Santa Rosa, CA
707-576-7765
8:30 PM

There is no cover charge for the show, as usual but most folks get into the Mokai groove and end up buying a CD or one of the cool, sweatshop-free earthworm Tshirts he makes, so bring some extra cash or a credit card. Visit his website for pictures of the shirts, samples of the music, and to sign up on his list. www.mokaimusic.com/

Mokai is touring in support of his latest release, "You Can't Fool Me." The title track (aka "Criminal Behavior") is a powerful indictment of war profiteering, a song he has performed at dozens of rallies and events including Harmony festival, Earthdance, and Reggae on the River. Right now, you can only buy this disc at his live shows. To hear samples, visit his myspace page www.myspace.com/mokaimusic or come to the show.

Note, if you are planning on attending or hosting one of the over 300 house parties to participate in Congressman John Conyers Town Hall Meeting this weekend to address the Downing Street Memo and Karl Rove situations, we will slide you a free copy of the CD if you will play it at the party. The Criminal Behavior song is perfect for these gatherings. If you have no idea what I am talking about, visit the following link and get plugged into the historic effort to organize against the criminals running our government:

Mokai will also perform at Solfest in Hopland in August, and Earthdance, so look for him on the festival circuit or get a full dose of Mokai in your ear at his show this Friday. He loves playing the cafe shows where he gets to stretch out a bit and play some new material, some traditionals he rarely plays, and even play around with new instruments.

Mokai performs mostly around San Francisco so visit his website when you are in the city and find out where he and his Gibson will be.
