Hello Everyone,
I just joined this tribe after viewing it earlier this evening. Lately, I've been very interested in learning about myself through Astrology. Have discovered I am a "double" Capricorn with both the Ascendant or Rising sign being the same as the Sun sign. Discovered the Rising sign had a lot to do with my height. Always thought I was a bit short at 5'8" and found out Capricorn rising delivers a short stature as well as the ability to retain a youthful appearance. Always receiving comments from students in the public schools about how young I look. However, I do not have fine or thin hair by any means. I do have the long nose that turns up a bit on the end which is supposedly a characteristic of Cap Rising. My hair is dark brown, though it is anything but "fine" or "thin" and have lots of it. Any of you out there also "double" Capricorn? Is it true that Capricorn Rising can mean that you're a "loner" or "single parent"? The Sydney Omarr 2007 book states this, and I have never read that anywhere else. Wondering where they got that info. Thanks so much for your help. Looking forward to becoming a part of the community.

Yes, the loner thing is common with Capricorn. I love my alone time.
Sounds like you've heard something about the thing "old when young" and "young when older" with Capricorn. It was very much that way with me. I was so serious in outlook while growing up and boys wouldn't even glance at me until I was 15 years old, long after all my girlfriends had gotten started. Now, at 46, I'm remembering so many fun things of my childhood, and my skin has held up pretty well. People always think I'm 30-something. Not quite! -

Glad to hear someone else loves their alone time. Was beginning to think I was strange or something. My love life was very similar, however, some of the blame could come from the fact that my Venus is in 20 degrees Aquarius which makes for a friendship kinda guy and no serious commitments. Today is cause for celebration. The moon is finally in our sign! Seems like forever until the moon comes back to Capricorn, and better yet, the full moon on June 30th will be in Capricorn! -

"Alone time" is a great thing. If you can be alone and not feel lonely then you have managed to achieve something very good for your mental health and making toxic relationships less likely. Of course, such independence does not make for the best love songs, but hey, this world does sell a lot of b.s.
I am Sun and Venus in Cancer, Moon in Sagittarius and Capricorn Rising. I've also got Saturn in Capricorn, 1st house, opposition to my Sun-Venus. Along with that I have asteroids Vesta and Pallas in Capricorn. So I've got lots of the goat going on, and really, that is fine with me.
I know about you guys with Venus in Aquarius. I've fallen for the Sun in Aquarius and/ or Venus in Aquarius time and again (2 marriages). Yes, you are good with friendship and tend to make good conversation.
Question: With your double Capricorn have you been the "sensible" one of the family or had extra responsibility?

Great advice and tips regarding "Alone time". Guess I hadn't ever thought of it that way before. I will now! Will be looking up your Venus in Cancer, and Moon in Sagittarius. I have never heard of asteroids before. Wonder where my "asteroids" are? Interesting that you have had relationships with "Venus in Aquarius" guys. Also interesting that I read Venus in Aquarius "could court fame." I would love to be famous. I have a degree in Music Education majored in voice and now taking a class in radio broadcasting near Washington DC. Currently teaching in the public schools and have a church job as an organist and choir director. Was on XM Satellite Radio for an hour last September where I got to DJ an hour of my favorite 70's songsand did an on camera interview for them last August as well. Another thing about me is that I love the past. I love oldies music so much and anything that is a piece of history or dealing with history. I read a love of the past is strongly linked to Capricorn. To answer your question, I have been the one in my family with the "extra responsibility." I am the one who takes care of my mother who is in her late 60's and perform most of the chores around her house when I visit on the weekends. My father passed away back in 2000 due to lung cancer. He was a Taurus, and my mother is an Aries. My half brother is an Aries and he is very lazy when it comes to cleaning up after himself and where responsibilities are concerned. I could go on and on, however, I'm sure you get the picture. I had other questions for you though I seem to have forgotten them right now as it is getting late. I must get to bed so I can get to work tomorrow. Thanks so much for the warm welcome you have given me. By the way, my half sister who is also a Capricorn is your age, I think! She was born December 29, 1960. She doesn't have Capricorn Rising. We think she has Aquarius Rising, and she loves the 70's decade most especially the rock bands from that decade. Looked mature for my age as a young'n. As I approach 45, I now get compliments about my 'youthful appearance.' Folks think I'm in my late twenties to mid thirties! (Yay for me!)
I'm into music. A drummer. I'm also into languages. I work in motion pictures as a sound tech. I wonder if there' any connection to music, or audio, with regard to my chart. I work with three other people who also have Dec. 29 Bdays. Curious isn't it? Four people, each with 12/29 who work in Post Production audio for Film.
What's frustrating, is my consistent feeling of failure. Perfectionism. Near obsessive fastidiousness. (OK call it OCD. But it's not a clinical diagnosis.) I just like to think that I'm neat and tidy. It's probably an attempt to have some sort of control over the little things. Because I can't seem to control the bigger things in life.
Despite having numerous talents and skills, I often feel talentless and a loser. I have trouble accepting compliments, and try to sweep it all under the rug of humility and modesty. I guess I'm afraid of being perceived as conceited or egotistical. But isn't that a Cappie trait also? Confidence anyway?
It's all very curious.

Mon, June 4, 2007 - 5:37 PMWhoa! That's way cool! You sound like me in many ways except for the part of accepting compliments and feeling talentless. My ego is very big, and I'm constantly working on being humble. I like to give the audience a good show with my vocal skills and/or organ playing. However, that previous part sounds like my sister. So really you sound like a combination of both of us. There's got to be some sort of connection between Capricorns and music or audio. I will be learning radio production this fall in my class which teaches how to operate the sound boards, splicing editing etc. I also know another Capricorn male who is majoring in Flute/Music Education. He was born Dec. 31. Though I don't know much about his rising sign or where his moon is. My moon is in Pisces. I need to get a picture of me on here as an avatar. Do any of you know how to do that? Also, that's really weird about the four December 29 B-days working in one location. How is your ESP and/or Psychic ability? I've been told mine is good, however, I'm still in doubt as to whether that's true. Psychic ability and/or ESP really fascinates me. -

Hey, those of you with musical talent/ interest need to look at your chart and see where your Neptune is located and how it's aspected. Neptune is also associated with psychic abilities. So see how it's aspected to your Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars, those personal planets; also, if it's Rising in the chart you will tend to be more "Neptunian". My Neptune is at Midheaven so I consider myself to be very Neptunian in terms of life purpose. I have always been very intuitive/ psychic. -

Mon, June 4, 2007 - 6:22 PMYeah, the psychic thing is pretty scarey. I'm fairly well in tune with my surroundings, and other peoples energy. I'm usually a good judge of character. I get hackles before earthquakes. I can often feel the Pwave before the Kwave, and declare "earthquake." Then my friends or whoever's around say "Na uh." Then the K wave rumbles through. I really try to trust my 'gut level instincts.'
Gonna look up where Neptune lies in the chart later. Very curious.

Mon, June 4, 2007 - 9:12 PMI have had many incidents of getting debilitating migraines, light and sound sensitivity and excruciating lower back pain 2 days before major earthquakes. I successfully predicted the big one in Japan 3rd week of March and then knew more was coming a week later (8-pointer, Solomon Islands). I've not had any killer migraines or other symptoms above since those 2 weeks of strong quakes. I'm keeping track of this stuff better now.

I did some research about just what that means and it's spot on.

I'm also a drummer, speak 3 languages, and my b-day is 12-30. And the Cap trait of youthful ageing is quite apparent in my face too, or so people tell me. I have a long nose and had pretty full hair when i was young but it turned fine and thin until i eventually cut it all off.
There is much to be learned from looking to the stars and planets.

I'm double Cap, Aquarius moon.
I'm short (not quite 5'3"), fine but thick hair, am 40 but people lately have been guessing 25, find myself alone a lot, am increasingly successful in my career (photography) but often have self-doubt and feel like a loser, neat freak, always felt responsible for my family (although I've detached myself a bit from that by moving far away from them)...wow, I want to know more! -

i can safely say i identify with a lot of the things on here.
especially with being the responsible one, being a perfectionist, not taking compliments well, and being musically inclined.

and about jack if they dont aspect any of your personal planets (which is not your case since mercury conjuncts them all, at least)

I'm in VA too. Just recently found out that I'm a double Cap, it's my sun sign and rising sign. My moon is in Cancer, not sure what that means. I'm medium height for a female 5-6 with dark brown hair and looking fairly young for 46. Most mistake me for mid-30s.
Can someone tell me about how to find out where my other planets are? Neptune, Venus and "asteroids" ?
I have found astrology fascinating since I was a kid, the personality traits of the sun signs have always been so obvious to me.

He is a double cap with cap venus. We luckily share Leo Moons.
He is the shortest of his siblings at 5'9. He used to be sensitive about his height in our 20s when he was not really 5'8 and I was 5'7
Funny thing is while apart he picked up an inch and a half, but at 23 I picked up one last inch.(im 5'8)
But we both look hella young for our age, If he drops about 50 lbs he gained these past few years, he'd not look much over 30.
His hairline crept up a little but is thick and full when he lets it grow out.
He has no children and one marriage behind him. He runs to portly side(earth influence)
Has a stocky build, wide shoulder. All about him you could say "square". Hairline, outline, jaw/face. Ruddy, pixie nose (upturns), nice teeth, rather small featured (shoe size, hands) but masculine.
Hazel eyes, ruddy complexion with a touch of sallow. Dark blonde. Always moving, energetic, not gemini bird flicks/fidgets, but driven action orientation. Mechanical minded, studios, work ethic, work driven, and wish for early retirement (who dont...LOL)
Was a bit unfinished and impulsive in youth, and love=sex sex-love. So he had a lot of failed empty relationships before reigning in some of his earth aspects.
Perfectionsit, judgmental, loyal and craving attention ... personal attention and affection. WAnts respect adn wants recognition even more than cash.
