It's time for you to cast the remake of Xanadu.

The only rule is, Britney Spears may not play the Olivia part, dammit.

Kate Hudson is kind of cute in a kira sort of way, but I don't think she dances or sings quite like Olivia...

That's a tough one. Heather Graham? Kim Catrell? Okay, just kidding on that one. Heather might work though. Must ponder...

the hardest part of casting a remake is gene kelly's part i'm sure. there's not really any of the old crooners or classic musical number guys left. but i'm sure william shatner would audition, and that would just be sad. i could see johnny depp in it tough. he proved he can sing and dance in Cry Baby.

Heather Graham: You nailed it on her.
The rest of the cast, yawn, does it matter?
Heather has the vibrance of Olivia and that is who carried the movie.

No, look at Olivia's reputation for the time.
Muff eating married woman she was.
        Rollergirl looks the part.

OK, I'll give you that Rollergirl LOOKS the part.

But the closest Olivia came to munching carpet was playing that lesbian in 'Sordid Lives'...

          Please, Mr. Please...

Sorry, wrong there. That was her big scandle. She was a Bi-female in a time that didn't accept it. Funny thing is, that a few years later, on that one, and nobody would have cared. She munched, oh yes she munched.

Ya got the net, do your own research as the info is out there, along with the pictures that had nothing to do with the movie "Sordid Lives" in which she plays a lesbian cowgirl. Stretched role for a completely straight female, don't ya think? Either way, she is, though it really doesn't matter to me either way.

I did my own research and there was nothing out there.

That makes me doubt your sources...

Can I ask what difference it makes? She is or she isn't either way does it really have to be an issue?

Grace: I agree with you. It matters not to me. Was stating what I knew from the 80's. Sorry it wasn't put on the net later, as most people could give a crap less about her after the computer era hit.
Feel free to search for an unauthorized biography on Olivia, for me it is a silly subject of which I could really care less, as I don't do the idol worship on any of them, so am not upset when they act weird, rob stores, have sex with the same gender, have orgies, whatever. All are human, all have variations of sex and I could care less, unless they want to broadcast their bedroom on cam. Gay, straight, whatever, I like people for who they are, not their bedroom habits.

Self righteousness? Sorry you missed all the news in the 80's. Sorry for whatever team she "bats for". Not really, because I view all teams as the same: humans. In their lives, they can do pretty much anything that doesn't violate 3 laws, pertaining to this situation, and I am okay with it. Those are: 1) Don't molest kids 2) Don't rape anyone. 3) Don't violate the elderly or handicapped in any way.
With that said, they can bang whoever they want, in my opinion.
You don't want to believe Olivia goes down on women, great, happy for you and I could give a crap less.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat does any of this have to do with Xanadu? I change my vote. I want Juliette Lewis and Val Kilmer. Fat Val Kilmer.

Word. And I'll accept Juliette Lewis only if she plays the black back-up dancer. And wears nothing but vintage Solid Gold clothing.
