Sun-Pluto and YOU

topic posted Sat, February 24, 2007 - 3:27 PM by  Brian
Let's have a chat, shall we?

Rose and I would like to know how each you in this tribe experiences the effects of the combo of Sun and Pluto in your lives. Describe what type of connection Sun and Pluto make to each other in your natal chart and how it affects you, your experience.

I'll go first:

I've got Sun conjunct Pluto in the 8th house.

I'm trying to find peace. I want to be at peace. My goal in this life is attain that because of the turbulent feelings that rise up within me. I think of myself as a "rational being" so it bothers greatly me when those "storms" come up. I couldn't deal with the periods of deep deep need and longing and sadness -- any feeling that was deep and powerful. So, I tried to find the answer by searching for knowledge that would help me deal with it. Not just any knowledge though, the most fundamental laws of life. I figured that if I adhered to them then all will be well. Simple it sounds, but I found out how much harder that was to do. Its shaped my life up to this point. However it seemed that I was running away from life also. I found this out when my father died. All of the knowledge on emotional quelling couldn't help me deal with what was right in front of my face. I've stopped searching for now and I am learning to live in the here and now. Simple it sounds, but not simple to do.....

    now for me
I could say alot but Ill keep this short
I have sun in the eigth conjunct to Pluto in the seventh with the moon attached to Pluto on the other side

It ends up being kind of complicated figuring out which energy is doing what
especially with all the other scorpio and eighth house stuff going on which is part of why I wanted to start this tribe
Im trying to sort things out
I find that people are afraid of me often i think its this intensity that they can sense due to this lovely Pluto thing
I have found myself dancing with many Plutonian things throughout my life, but I dont get dragged down perhaps because I can match the intensity of the experience and transform it into somehting else or I learn from it and dont do it again.......well at least after a while
My fierce independence comes from the necessity to be able to change at a moments notice to match what life deals me if i did not do that
I dont know if I would have survived many things
    transforming all the time
transcending all the time ....sometimes to where I fear I might slip through worlds and get lost but thats not been such a threat the past few years since I have had to deal with so much heavy shit
( I had three outer planet transits in a row a few years ago including Pluto)
I could write more but i will in response, i guess instead, if something comes up.
I have to go to school

      >>>Im trying to sort things out

I can totally identify with that statement...especially the fear. I wasn't sure if it was my attitude or not (prbly is) but I find that people run away from me. I don't think they can help it. Even when being cheerful or silly at times I find that people can't deal with me. Like you I'm trying to sort it all out.

I really don't want it to lead into a sense of "nobody likes/loves me". That's when Hell appears....

        Anxiety.

Like a constant feeling of vertigo. The sense one has of falling to one's death.

And isn't that what Pluto conjunct the personal planets is about?

With Sun/Pluto, the ego is constantly being told that its gonna die. Of course the word "someday" was conveniently left out.

So how do you feel? How do you feel always thinking that you're gonna die? How do you feel always thinking that there is nothing you can do about it?

Does a simi square count. Sun and also Merc conj in 9th Cancer. Pluto 10th virgo.
Both at opposit ends of 2* orb...I've never looked into what this might represent in me

why don't you hang out for a while and get a feel for what we are dealing with here
if it resonates with you contribute. You decide if it counts or not. If you are dealing with thing that we speak of or if you start researching and feel you want to bring it up great
You may find that those of us with conjunctions, oppositions, and squares might feel and communicate the Pluto stuff a little more intensly or you might not....All of us are learning, in my opinion, all ways.

I have been able to relate this mostly into other forms for myself.
          Personally Im a little crazy
Honestly I have had encounters with other world including seeing ghosts as a child (and now though i have more filters)
and also tons of psychedellic experiences
i dont fear death except for as far as the fear of my daughter goes
I feel confident that this all just keeps going and this is just another transient place for me to slip in and out of
On the other hand if you see my earlier post I speak of a fear of slipping through worlds
          and thats similar
ive come very close to wandering off the edge but I am an extremly ballsy woman, and was as a teenager even more so.
This means I pushed the limits as far as I could on my mind and in my ways of knowing myself and transforming
I have learned the immense amount of strength that comes with this
for example the knowledge that I run very deep and connect to something in those depths that i will never even try to make fit into words
and that wont ever go away
          body or no body
so while if something were to happen I would feel awful to leave my little girl behind I also know i wouldnt realy be leaving her behind I just couldn't physically protect her............but there are other ways to protect..
My mother is still here whether its just some shadow thing she left behind to watch me while she moves on
some essential mother that is all mothers or what
she is still here and I listen to her better now because she makes more sense now than she did before..now that there are no words

This could easily be a little deep for folks to plunge in at with me, but this is sun Pluto and if you want to learn how to manage pluto in your real life you have to do it on an energetic level and that shit is deep. For real

I am currently experiencing a pluto sun conjuct transit in my 5th house. Natally I have Pluto in the first house on cusp. Pluto conjuct with uranus on 1st/2nd house cusp with The Sun squaring both Pluto and uranus. This square of sun and uranus gives a compulsion for freedom in all ways. I have enjoyed reading the input that has taken place. I am just investigating about pluto because of my current transit. I was unaware that Pluto was as strong as it is in my chart. Having pluto in the first I am able to read people pretty quickly and am normally pretty serious. Combine this with sun in the 5th house(creativity, fun, and pleasure) and you have a pretty bleeped up situation. This pluto placement also gives some psychic component to it. Now for the crazy stuff. It also gives me a compulsion to be in control. Anger issues because I want to control everything. Of course, that's impossible. I also come off to people as scary and intense. This definitely causes problems. The first house being part of a persons identity means that this intensity will fluctuate but it will always be there. I am pretty sure pluto also has a hand in bad habits and addictions compulsions or an urge to punish yourself for being the way you are. By this I mean drinking eating crappy foods, etc. Although it could lead to heavier stuff , it does not with me.

    Thanks!
    Jay

that doesnt sound "bleeped up" at all that sounds great
      freedom and fun are good
      how's your transit?
Pluto transits can be really subtle ..it seems like yours might be from your cheery demeano
but they can also be really heavy and sometimes people die or parts of yourself die?
Do you have a feel for it, are you all the way in it as far as is it exact yet? alot of times they begin to have affect even years in advance from what i hear..sometimes with transits it can be difficult to say what they're doing until their done also
but i would think a sun pluto transit would bring some obvious things to surface?

but purposely derailing a thread (or saying things just to be confrontational) and not making any sense while doing so was a confusing action for someone who at first seemed unsure they should even be here........

I am also experiencing Pluto-Sun transit conjunction in my 4th house. Pluto in 1st house/ Virgo squares my Sun in Sagittarius in my natal chart. Physically I'm exhausted, like I was waiting for death from time to time... And the rest of time I'm hoping a lot about this transit, as there is also a Uranus/north node conjunction, a north node/north node conjunction, a Jupiter/Venus conjunction... It's always when I think I have tamed Pluto that it strikes back, making me feel I'm just a tiny bug he can crush. Has anyone of you felt that Pluto is having fun with you, first giving you physical strength, hope, and optimism about your future, and the next day you feel like you've been cheated and there's no reason to hope ? Pluto has always been tough with me, and most of the time I have no physical energy. I feel like an alien when it comes to relating to other people. I often feel rejected and misunderstood because I'm not functioning like them... I often have the impression to be considered nuts! But maybe I really am because Pluto can actually drive you crazy! ;-)

this post just topic just came back to the top exactly while i was posting that other topic - pluto in cap for 18 years. with 3 family members (and myself making 4) all with sun in cap - and pluto will transit over every one - i'm quakin in my boots.

        squares are tough
gettting the energy to move throung instead of against is diificult with that
IF i see anything that might be helpful Ill send it to you
...if your chart isnt in your pics....send me it and Ill see if I can find a way to work better with that energy
(that might be best anyways if you want me to acually do what i said I would)

i just read that pluto sun square people often have a huge urge to know where they stand with people and that in order to see that they have to make the strong decision to find that within themselves
being very cautions to not base life decisions on others reactions as it is a very unsatisfying game to do so

most of the things that happen with pluto happen in a similar way , I think
i have had games I had no idea I was playing and then i realize it along with the recognition that I have to empower myself to make decisions about how to move the intense energy that Im dealing with.....first recognizing the energy and seperating it from the effects of it and then attempting to understand it so i can allow it to manifest in a way that is good for me and that it is already trying to move in
Pluto changes us more than we change Pluto but we can facilitate a direction for the energies to move in as it is essetially a positive force desiring to change us in good ways
even those (often) painful as hell transits.....

I got Pluto in Scorpio 2nd house
Trine Sun-Mars in Cancer 10th house
Sextile Moon in Virgo 12th House, Neptune in Capricorn 4th House
Also Saturn, South Node, POF in Scorpio, with Venus in Taurus

My life seems to go well if I stick to what I planned.. I can't really think of anything I am scared of, and nothing shocks me. I notice that alot of people always come to me when they need questions answered, or some sort of support. I always get told by alot of people how they wished they had some of the qualities that I have....not taking everything so personal, look at the situtation, then work on fixing it. Death has always surounded me, have seen people killed in front of me a few times, best friend got killed by a gunshot, and a few others died off... Too long for a thead to talk about the theme of death lol........

The irony is nothing dramatic happens in MY world. I don't get sick, never broken a bone, can run circles around people with the amount of energy I got.. Everything seems to work out exactly how I planned it. I have a bad habit where I love to distory egos.... lol.... Usally I am smiling 90 % of the time, and give faith in god and myself. As a child my mother took us all to group therpy because her and my siblings got into a near death car accident where my mother and brother were in the hospital for months, that happened when Pluto entered my 3rd house... So I have been trained from the start to express and say whats brothering me and what isn't...Im not too fond of secrets, some things just shouldn't be a secret....I do belive that shallow waters hold just as much as deep waters!!

My goal in life is to make complex basic... what is hidden seen.... I just want it all simple :P

I have a sun pluto conj. in libra.....I definetly relate to the statement made earlier about people being afraid of us.....I get this ALL the time..which is crazy being that I'm a libra...who is ever afraid of a libra? ...but people really are...and sometimes they'll come up and opologize to me if they had to get up and move away from my energy in a public setting or whatever....I have to laugh b/c it happens so often.......I find that pluto really overpowers any harmony or peace seeking I may attempt....I like it real....and my life so far has been one of constant tranformation.....reinventing and taking is deeper....it can be a rich way to live....very ALIVE.

I also have a sun pluto conj. in libra in ninth house and definetly...people are being afraid of me or very attracted to me its either way...but my life as always been so intense...I have been raise in a family very esoteric and seem like the pluto sun conj. is pushing me into been studying of secret knowledge always wanting to go deeper searching the meaning of life on earth. I'm also feeling like a volcano inside myself and on top of this i'm a red head so its like i'm burning inside out. I'm searching so much to find a highter meaning of life in a peaceful way...the libra..always wanting to be in peace with everyone...
I also have venus, mars, mercury ans uranus in scorpio in tenth house ! except for mercury who is in ninth house, opposite to the moon in taurus ! I've been through so much in my life always needing to transform, transcend all that is happening to me and each time it made me stronger...i'm very intuitive, pluto made me see the truth, well I believe...oh and also I have this conj. sun/pluto square ASC in capricorn so in the same time i'm my worst enemy....the better way to see this conj. sun/pluto for me, to see myself is the light among darkness voilĂ  !

maybe its good you have that square so something can argue a little with all that Pluto...give it a little something to refine itself against
i wonder what you think in regards to that? thats an extremly Plutonian chart...even more so than mine!!!! \

Im loving seeing the commonalities in peoples comments on this thread so much and the different ways people are working wih what they have......

I'm currently working on utilizing the combo of working with others well that libra gives and the transformational deep capabilities from all that Plutonian scorpio stuff. I'm finding interesting directions to go in with that, and am so fed up with the libran indecisiveness that i may very well attempt to do everything and see what falls away in the execution.......
Im sure to hit walls that I have to transform myself to pass through.....but thats always the way for me....

New to this tribe. Thanks everyone for the chat. Here's my Pluto/ Sun experience.

I have the Sun & Moon in mutul reception ( Cancer/ Leo). The Moon conjuncts Pluto and Jupiter (28 Leo/ 0 Virgo)
So sometimes it feels like Pluto /Sun, sometimes like Pluto /Moon. My introverted "ego" is constantly challenged by my powerful extraverted feelings. With a Cancer Sun I want to be protected and "safe" and at peace, but my Pluto Moon makes me very "aware" of the dark side / unconsciuosness of all humans as well as energy both seen and unseen.

Had a lot of "psychic" experiences as a kid and never grew out of them like most people. I learned early not to talk about them to people who couldn't hear me. It took me till my 20's to get a handle on it. Not that the "seeing" was wierd, but that sometimes others acted as if they couldn't "see" it. I thought they were in denial /being stubborn/ hurtful, but they were head blind. I thought that everybody was naturaly clairvoyant. We are as kids, why do some people grow out of it? A Pluto gift I took for granted.

The core of my emotional body is Pluto/transformation, Jupiter/ expansion. This has sometimes been a harrowing experience rather than a sweet one. I don't have a choice, I have to integrate my dark side, making a pet of the wolf at the door, and letting my dark sheep graze with the white ones. The witch gets to come to the birthday party along with the good faries, and I stop denying those parts of myself that continually betray me. ( Pluto square Saturn in Scorpio 4th) My job is not to deny them, but just keep them in sight.

I think the mutual reception helps me sort out those deep deep powerful emotional storms. It's a little easier to tell which emotions are mine and which are collective. Sometimes it is both. Not always a pretty sight. It is possible that Pluto rules the "personal unconscious" of the collective, and that we have to deal with and integrate the cumulative crimes of hate, fear, anger, greed, and the abuse of power, of nature, and of sexuality perpetrated through out history. These are our collective complexes and like an international debt, each of us carries a share.

Sure glad I don't have to take it all on, just my share. That has proved hard enough, but it makes being in the moment easier.
Keep integrating transforming, transcending.... I think the awareness that Pluto brings is a gift.
            Sharon

in the 12th house .. mystical and rebellious
mediumistic and theatrical ...accurate and chaotic
I feel in touch with the massess atr a very subtle level
I seem to play out archetypal roles in a healing way
tho' by healing I do not mean the new agey ways
I'm a experiencing constantly powerful and mysterious forces
at work with ,or trough me, in my life...... well
this sums it up for me .. of course I could fill volumes with more infos

                Hey all --

i've got sun conjunct pluto in the 8th house in libra, mercury in scorpio in the 8th house.

hmm, it is a pretty intense energy to work with + through. I feel like when i meet new people, i create a bit of disturbance, which is either welcomed or definitely not. I'm all about transformation.. alchemy. sometimes, i wonder if my disposition alters my perception too much. In effort to keep things more balanced, I am physically active with dance + aikido.. and without it, my mind can get a bit swampy.

and cycles.. i feel like i live an endless cycle of death.rebirth.gestation etc etc.

a lot of people call me a secret agent, which i think is pretty damn funny. i usually keep things quiet until i feel certain.. but it all just changes so often and continuously! i am not being purposefully secretive or anything, but definitely value autonomous zones.

i feel you on that, for sure
                  if I dont dance....not pretty
but it sounds like we have pretty similar charts in some ways

disturbance...Ive noticed that I seem to have a transformative effect on people I'm dating or close to
probably because I'm so often in the middle of my own special hurricane
If they are very stable it doesn't do that as much and I find myself grounded by that.
I wonder if part of that is the mix between Pluto and the Libran sun

                  Fun things to ponder thanks!

it is for real though, I think that's part of the transformative aspects of Pluto(and it's association with things like toilets, Flush it!!!)

    Sun Sextile Pluto

Makes me a very passionate person. It also means I've got quite the fighting spirit. I find it difficult to walk away from a challenge or admit surrender. I also don't like being told what to do and would much rather work as a leader or, if need be, alone, than have to bother with other people.

i have sun in the first opposite pluto conjunct north node. i have a pathological loathing/ deep seated fear of submitting to the will of another/will fight to the death for my freedom. it's like that y'all. ironically enough i sometimes even now attract situations in which another 'tries to usurp me' and ' i have to make good my escape' - happened just the other day as a matter of fact, just so i could see the dynamic's still alive and kicking within my succulent psyche...

I had similar experiences...It almost seems you and the other are two different aspect of the same personality. Sometimes if's a great opportunity for growth at other times it's horrible.

Pluto's message is a very advanced one: Everything is part of the same universal consciousness. When we hold on to a very rigid self image and the egotistical tendencies emanating from it, one of his many dimensions that comes in play is that of absorption or usurpation. (thanks...I never associated it with Pluto-Sun)

It can be very disconcerting: from the joy of sacrificing one small self to something greater - being transformed in the process, to intense experiences of power and manipulation - of being sucked into someones else's world or vice versa. Some claim to have harnessed the Plutonian energy...I have my doubts. To go beyond Pluto is to completely surrender the Ego... until that time we will encounter this struggle on many levels, such as you described.
