I'm glad to see a group like this exists. I can't stop thinking about smashing / blowing shit up, I don't know how to build or purchase explosives though. If anyone does, tell me and we can find a place to smash stuff with hammers and explode stuff!

Put the black powder,say an ounce,with a fuse,which you got at the same place you got the black powder,in the bottom of a bucket.
Put some cremora in a plastic shopping bag on top of the black powder.
Light the fuse
stand back
It makes a very satisfying and non lethal whoomph,almost mushroom cloudish

Make sure ALLL your buddies are AWAY from the proceedings by about 25' or more (more preferred) so no one (god forbid) gets hurt. If you can, do yourself an even BIGGER favor & go do this in the suburbs where there's more OPEN LAND! That way, not only does it not hurt anyone, you can party AFTER you fire the stuff. Alcohol & blowing things up just causes lots of accidents...trust me. I have a friend who's a ph.d chemist who's done expert witnessing who's seen some very sad & scary cases of people NOT being safe. Do yourself & others a favor, keep it sane till you're done THEN drink. The afterglow when you're done is SOOOO much better! And all body parts are intact to repeat the process! -

My friends told me about some kids they saw get real messed up trying to fire faberge eggs out of a homemade potato gun so yeah I'd definitely be real cautious, I mean, I have never done anything like this before. -

Get some fuse,and like the nice lady says,stand back.
It does not really explode so much as make a mushroom cloud and spark-use a metal bucket though. -

I'm not saying i AM one, but I KNOW many. How do you propose GETTING this fuse? Skylighters has an AGE limit, not to mention FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS! Do yourself a favor, grab some fireworks from the local stand (or wherever out of NY state you have to/want to go) & light the hell out of them in the country!!! You can feel it just as well as the stuff TRAINED PROFESSIONALS do. Respect the fire, don't egg it on...the results are NOT pretty. -

Pill bottles work well with a reeeally long fuse. anyway it's real fun, and the aftershow is a burning pumpkin. haven't tried with watermelons. will get back to you. -

My hubby found out how to make it from some guy at his work, much to my surprise. Who'da thunk shooting potatoes into the forest could be such fun! Though hubby has let his gun sit on the porch & not used it in months...sigh... ;) -
