What's your favorite firework/effect?

I thought i'd add this topic in...doesn't seem to have been one in the bit i've seen. And since this is a fireworks & such tribe, why NOT ask?

I'll start this party off w/mine. Follow up if ya wanna!

My personal fave is a movie effect that's beautiful to see, yes, but also to smell & FEEL. It's called a Lampari. I know y'all have seen it, cuz it's a movie effect common when they set things on fire. For lack of a better term, it's the fire ball that looks like a mushroom cloud as it goes up into the air. You can be standing about 20' away & feel the heat from this baby, as well as the "whoomp" shake of this effect as it goes off.

After that, my 2nd fave is the that whistle & kinda "squiggle" off in all directions in the air. I think they're called "fishes" by the fireworks community. They seem just so...festive & fun!

Well, that's my start to this. Weigh in, I'd like to get to know what y'all think!

building fireball generator help, advice, sugestions?

I'm looking for resorces right now. A friend and I are building a fireball generator as part of a laser show. the idea of liquid propaine came up but we dont know how we could get the proper cheap and afordable tanks. We were discusing posable liquide fuel with a nitrogen or helium propelent but unsure of emiter designs etc. Also the idea of using a high powered pump arose.

Any ideas or designs that could be shared would be aprechiated. I am a fire dancer and fire breather and he realy liked the idea of beign able to use liquid fuels so boric acid or other chemicals could be added to do colored flames. Ideas thoughs sugestrions?

Exploding Beer keg

MOSTLY HARMLESS BUT ANNOYING EXPLOSION

OK. Here is my best trick for a mostly harmless impromptu explosion. Get a small plastic screw top pop bottle, add a splash of water, seal it well and when nobody is looking [ most people are pretty unobservant.] put it in the microwave, set it for 2 minutes and walk away. Blammo. It usually blows the door open but not off. This works when the water turns to steam and expands. The bottle stays intact and the top blows off when the plastic gets soft. If any of your mates have a weak heart you may want to consider it. The look on peoples faces is JUST PRECIOUS. I am trusting you will use this information for GOOD not EVIL. Bwahahaha

PS If your GOOD responsible maniacs I may share some of my other fun with microwaves tricks.

Am crossing this to my blog cause it seems nobody reads this tribe very much.

Just thought I'd let y'all know about our latest exploding bit of wonderfulness-the Firecracker hat-compliments of Kenny Browning-the Jedi master of the Hoiuston Art Car crew.
We had nine last Saturday at the Infernal Bridegroom Gala,due to have 20-a world record at the effigy lighting at Flipside.
These are metal hats with a metal canister of some sort on top-tie the fuses together and let her rip.Ear plugs,leather coat,safety glasses are all recommended.
