Is there going to be any formal "water installation" or anything where people can bring water from their communities to be blessed?
I noticed this on the main earthdance web page...
"SPECIAL LAYTONVILLE INVITATION:
We are inviting all attendees of the Laytonville Festival to bring water from your local waterways to be blessed during this event. The waters will be combined, blessed and then redistributed to you so that you can return this blessed water back into the source from which you brought it."
I think this is very moving and important work. Can it happen at Earthdance NW?!!!?
My husband and I have been initiated through the Western Mystery Tradition in the Lineage of King Salomon and as Ritual Masters we have been empowered to bless water. If this service would be useful we would be happy to contribute. (and I'm sure there are many others of various traditions that would be willing to assist in this process.)
It would be nice if there was some sort of community water collection art installation... is this something on the forecast or something we can whip up in less than a week!?
I wrote to the email address earthdancenw@hotmail.com but have gotten no reply.
Can someone answer questions?
Lemme know how i can help.
Love and Light, Dana Stream.

Re: Sacred Waters Ceremony?
Tue, September 11, 2007 - 8:01 PMOk so I've got a confirmation that we can at least use a kiddie pool to collect, contain, and sanctify Water. (if anyone has a more esthetically pleasing idea bring it on.)
SO PLEASE BRING WATER TO BE BLESSED - From your local stream, lake, river, the tap, whatever! We will collectively bless the water during the Om and then you are invited to take the blessed water back and return it to your local streams, lakes, rivers, down the drain, wherever... it will bless the local water system however you do it.
Thank You All for assisting us in this important work!
Love and Light, Dana. -

Re: Sacred Waters Ceremony? kiddie pool, glass, other ideas? the vessel is a message in itself . . .
Wed, September 12, 2007 - 11:50 PMhi! great work encouraging a water ceremony at this earthdance! just a suggestion on the vessels to hold the water, a kiddie pool just seems too in-our-faces-of-why-water-is-so-hurting-now, bright colors and plastic. not the only reasons water is hurting now, but big parts of the picture. not saying its the perfect solution, but i think glass containers have more of a subtle energy, and are examples of what we can use in our day to day that are not as wasteful or as toxic as plastic. granted, there isnt a practical glass container that can reach the size of a kiddie pool, but would it work to use several containters? or actually, a gallon glass bottle may be fine, we can just use a small amount of each water, right? what do you think?
thanks, blessings, earth, and dancing,

Re: Sacred Waters Ceremony? kiddie pool, glass, other ideas? the vessel is a message in itself . . .
Thu, September 13, 2007 - 10:29 AMI say let's bring what we can and do the best with what we've got. It would be better to do as much water as possible and we did think about putting fabric over the plastic pool so as to enhance the esthetics... I know it's still plastic under there but at least it wouldn't be in our faces. ;-)
If someone has access to other things that would work bring it on! I'm all about collaboration on this. ;-) -

Re: Sacred Waters Ceremony? kiddie pool, glass, other ideas? the vessel is a message in itself . . .
Tue, September 18, 2007 - 6:17 PMhi . . wanted to say that i thought the water pools were beautiful! i misunderstood, i wasnt thinking of it as a permanent water space, but as a container for collecting water in a ritual, when i suggested glass. as a water altar, i must admit the pool was a good choice. and it didnt look as kiddie pool as id thought either. great work! -

Re: Sacred Waters Ceremony? kiddie pool, glass, other ideas? the vessel is a message in itself . . .
Tue, September 18, 2007 - 8:03 PMActually, it was just a coincidence. The pool *at least in the psytrance area* fountain, was something I had thought off from the time I heard it was a water theme. I was inspired to create something that would represent that theme. I am glad that it worked out so well!!! =)
