New classes and Earth Movement future plans

Now that my beautiful Baby Boy is here, I'm happier than ever that I took time off for us. He's the most amazing, life changing thing to ever happen to me and I am committed to living one of the Earth Movement philosophies of health through prioritizing and reality based time management (vs Western Culture's "ideals").

Since I'm getting so many inquiries as to when I'll be teaching again, I thought I'd reitterate that I tentatively plan on starting some time this summer. Please have patience (and practice "letting go" of our western need to plan every thing down to the minute :-)) since I cannot know the future or how we'll feel; I can only know that my son is only going to be this young once and that I firmly believe in setting a good solid foundation not only in belly dance, but in life. I promise, I will alert people via email (join the mailing list by clicking the link too the left at www.tribalbellydance.net) and this tribe.

I will also be sponsoring more classes and workshops in the future such as Herbology, Techno Yoga and Belly Dance specialties and be teaching Stress Management, the Art of Relaxation, and Belly Dance specialties. So, keep us in mind and stay tuned!

    Congrats Narah and best wishes!

Just holding your baby for hours is going to be something you all treasure for years to come. Revel in your warm cuddly boy, give him lots of kisses, take him everywhere (I firmly believed that everyone should get big doses of my baby's loveliness), talk nonstop to him in his seat while grocery shopping (and now we are getting green beans, and avocados...oh avocados are yummy! and some juice...) and don't feel bad about staring at him for hours and hours... life is a miracle..... and when he is eleven he isn't going to even want to be seen with you at a school function.

We can wait for you to come out of your glorious fog....
but I want to see me a cute baby boy at Pennsic!!!
    • Thank you for the beautiful message, beautiful lady! :) And thank you for the congrats. Oh, I can't even begin to describe the sweetness that comes from holding, staring at and talking to this amazing, gorgeous baby boy! I am glad for all the reminders to cherish each moment- it makes it easier to neglect all those other unimportant things that sometimes nag at us (like cleaning the house or business stuff). Can't wait for you to meet him at Pennsic! (though I don't plan on being there long, you'll see us. :) )
      • The pictures are lovely! I get to go see Onca's new boy Talyn this weekend, he has transformed from grub to the fastest crawler on the earth. Oh and I get the meet the Asheville Claire's baby boy for the first time. Yay for immersion in babyness.
        • "The pictures are lovely!"
          Thank you!

I am so excited to show Angelo off and meet Talyn! Will the Asheville Claire and baby boy be at Pennsic? That will be so cute seeing them all together. And Angelo will love meeting Ava! We went to a kid-filled party on Saturday and he was cooing in his sleep when we got home after intensely watching the kids play and cooing to his friend Adele (born 2 days before in the same birthing center- I saw her mom on the way in).

    Heyla Narah!

As an "older mommy" of four--baby will turn 17 and oldest turning 28--I have to agree with every word of your message. Babies are NEVER that young again and I am still so very thankful that my first choice was always my babies.

A good friend whom I envied because she always kept an immaculate house--mine was always a mess, I was busy making oobleck or making snowstorms in the middle of July (::laughing:: what a wonderful mess!), or helping my Luke Skywalker defeat Darth Vadar or having a Tina Turner Review (yep, my boys, too until they were older and we had to drag out an Ike persona for them)--told me that her college-age daughter told her that if she could live her life over she'd want her mother to clean less and play more, like I did.

::laughing:: Zi'ah's so right, there will come a time that your children don't want to be seen with you! But it will be okay, because you'll still smile happily remembering them in your old high heels and shaking it like Tina on stage--yep, your boys too!
    • Oh Kali, I can totally see you doing all of that!!! :) I'll have to get a notebook for tips on snow storms in July and having the best Tina Turner Review (or OutKast... he really liked them when he was in my belly... or whoever :) )!

Tristen and I have visions of building a pirate ship to play on (us too of course!) and taking him to all kinds of festivals. I love seeing my friend Sabine's little girl playing with their dog because I get glimpses of the future. I have so much fun cuddling, reading to, and playing with him now that I can't help seeing those little pieces that aren't so far away. I am totally soaking him up in the moment (he's in his carrier on me right now sleeping all warm and sweet). I've said before that if I could bottle the feeling you get holding your baby, I could be a rich woman selling it. But, I'd keep it and use it up when they are teenagers. :)
