I participated in my first Reiki share last night and it was incredible! I'm so glad I got my level I attunement and am getting my level II on Saturday. This was a beautiful spiritual experience and I'm reallly inspired. While I miss my beautiful doggie Tara in her physical body, I was able to find some solace in the sessions that were unmatched elsewhere. She is an amazing gift I will always be grateful for.
If you are in Morgantown or able to travel here on the 19th, Laurel Daken is holding a Reiki level II class on jan. 19th at her 550 Beachurst office (topp level of state farm building). $50.

Re: Reiki brings peace
Fri, January 18, 2008 - 4:52 PMYes, Reiki does bring peace--to mind, body and soul.
I'm a Reiki Master and I am still in awe of the healing and blessings that are bestowed on both the giver and receiver! -

Re: Reiki brings peace
Thu, February 14, 2008 - 1:07 PMWhat's really funny is that I had NO desire to become a Master. I had been through so much as a Reiki II with my friends cancer and death!! It was not until I was Journeying and she and I talked that I was convinced to go beyond my Reiki II.
But I will say this, and I'm sure the Reiki purists out there will correct me, with Intent and Love you can be a very skilled Reiki II practicioner, to the point of being more capable of channeling the Energy than some Masters! So know that were you are now is not limiting--it is liberating!!
And anytime you'd like to work together just give me a call and we can set up a time!
Namaste! -

Tue, February 19, 2008 - 5:29 PMwow, that;s amazing! OK, I'm even more inspired to find more peaceful quiet time and to set up my sacred space that I've been wanting to do... and was adviced to do in a reading. I do feel good about the 'healing position I'm in right now. We will definately get together to work together! I would love that! you know about things I didn't even know there were to know about! :) -

Re: Reiki brings peace
Sat, August 2, 2008 - 6:23 AMI recently (in June) helped deliver my nieces baby--with Reiki! She had been in labor a long time (after being induced), and was getting no where fast. I was called to come to "pray over her and help calm her" (my family's understanding of Reiki).
Once I arrived and accessed the situation, I knew that I needed to play two roles--Reiki practioner and labor coach. So, I actually got in a position that would allow me to lift her during contractions to aid the pushing and then used Reiki (channeling it through the father's hands by placing his in position and mine over his) between contractions to calm her and allow her some much needed rest.
The midwife thanked me later (turns out she was a Reiki Master as well). In the end we were rewarded with a beauiful, healthy, baby boy!!! -
