Hi there! I will be visiting the Bay area for my first time (coming up from Mexico) approximately May 8-17th (dates yet to be confirmed) and staying with a friend in Castro Valley. Looking for hoop gatherings and/or affordable classes (I won't have my own hoop with me).

I am in Livermore which is about a 15-20 minute drive from Castro Valley. Here are some events/classes taking place during your stay:
May 10th - How Weird St. Faire in San Francisco (lots of hoopers at this event including Bay Area Hoopers)

May 12th - I teach a Beginner's Hoopdance Class in Livermore. You're welcome to drop-in. 6:30-7:30pm

May 13th - Ecstatic Dance East Bay in Oakland (easy to get to taking BART) - hoopers are welcome (but you would need to borrow a hoop)

May 17th - Bay to Breakers in San Francisco (not sure if Philo has anything planned for BAH or not). Will know more as time gets closer.
