QUESTION FOR CHAIR MASSAGE THERAPISTS

topic posted Tue, July 10, 2007 - 11:51 AM by  MC

Sorry for the caps in the header. I just wanted to make sure I reach the right people.

I want to buy a massage chair and begin doing chair massage gigs such as corporate, event, etc.

I just wanted to know what is the procedure to make sure Im licensed to do this?
How does it work? Do you have to be licensed in every city individually to do that? I DO know I need to be insured but if you could please respon with any info about that, I would really appreciate it.

THANK YOU!

I believe you can get away with it, provided that you have an "outcall" license somewhere. Technically, you have to have a license for Berkeley, SF, El Cerrito, Albany, etc all separately....but if you have JUST an SF outcall license, you're essentially covered.....
I got my insurance by joining ABMP. It's totally reasonable and you get a spiffy magazine subscription as well.
