We are a community of women, empowered through dance. We use performance as a means to tell the story of our body, to express confidence in our body, to speak of the history of women, and to confront ourselves. The styling of dance that we work within, as well as define, is East Coast Tribal: a form of Tribal Fusion Bellydance. This form of Bellydance draws from Modern, Hip-Hop, ballet, and African. We are not interested as much in the traditional music or execution of bellydance, as much as we are interested in the movements themselves. The movements are rich in a language that cannot be expressed in words. A bold feminine expression of accepting, confronting, releasing, and being in ones self.
