Ok, so this is the long version...lots of details! The hafla is being organized by some really nice folks, including my dear friend, the lovely and talented Lydia! Read on:

This will the second Hafla-in-the-Afternoon, hosted by the Barony of Settmour Swamp.
Last November, Roger the Clarinetist played selections from DORKU.com all afternoon (thanks to Melissa and Carmine for the music!)
He'll be back this time, too. We would love to have more dancers and drummers join us.

We Proudly and Joyfully Announce that on
Sunday, February 24, 2008,
From 1 until 5 PM
Running concurrently with the Fighter Practice at St. Paul's Church in Flemington, NJ,
Shall be held the Second Official
Settmour Swamp Hafla-in-the-Afternoon!
We shall lay our Carpets, strew our Pillows and set up a small Seraglio in
which All may Take their Comfort.
We Invite You all to Attend!
Please Don Middle Eastern Garb
and bring Foodstuffs for the Potluck to Share.
Dancing, Drumming and Music will be Happening All the Day!
Arts and Sciences projects, Completed and Underway, we Invite you to Share
with us, and put them on Display!
Heavy Weapons Fighters, Fencers, Archers and Throwers are Most Welcome
to Join Us For Refreshments, Conversation and Company throughout the day!
We shall Provide Chai and plain Tea for all to Drink and Eat,
As well as the Potluck Midday Snack in which all are Invited to Partake.
(Please bring Enough to Share with 4 Other Gentles.)
So, bring your Feast Gear, an extra Pillow upon which to sit,
Your drum and perhaps a Tale or two others to Regale;
And We shall Make our
Second Hafla-In-the Afternoon
a Day in which Enjoyment and Revelry all shall Take!
