CALLING ALL DANCERS & DRUMMERS ~
Join me a for an easy-going drum rhythm recognition workshop on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 6-7 pm in Kingston, NY! Are you a dancer who doesn't know her ayub from her elbow?!! Do you want to learn how to listen (and play!) the "no frills" way? Well, here's your chance to have fun and pick up a few rhythms..using two basic drum hits (doum & tek) plus the occasional "ka" for the very adventourous! No pressure, no frills...no kidding! :)
Bring a drum or two if you have them. There will be a few loaners. Finger Cymbals are welcome as well!
Our workshop/warm-up will be followed by a mellow Drum & Dance Jam with our hostess Willow and friends... bring your dancing shoes and a drink or snack to share for the party after the workshop!
