New Dates for Glenn Brogan ~ Beyond Pairadice Studio ~ Las Vegas

Those of you who already have your appointment for a fabulous photo shoot with Glenn have so much to look forward to in August! Those of you who are wishing they had another opportunity...., well, here it is! Glenn will be in Alaska August 21, 2008 through August 30, 2008. Anticipated photo shoots will be in Anchorage, Seward, Girdwood, and tentatively, Fairbanks and Denali National Park. Glenn is the photographer for the book, "Desert Rakkasah" and the 2008 Desret Dancers Belly Dance Calendar. He has photoed Britt and Marisa of LasVegas as well as Aradia, Amira and countless other dancers. Please feel free to check out the photos under my profile for examples of his work as well as his tribe site Beyond Pairadice Studio. Single dancer shots, troupe photos, family portraits or portfolio updates are just a few of the options for you to choose. Also, for those of you who will have young men and women graduating this year, it is an excellent opportunity for Senior Pictures, different from the other students. I am hoping to use some of the botanical gardens, seascapes and Alaska's beautiful mountain scenery for back drops. Remember: The photos Glenn will take, will be delivered on computer disc, and you will have full copyright to your photos. For further information, please contact me through tribe or personal mail. Also, you may have seen some of the flyers around the area and I would love to drop some off some to instructors who would distribute them. I will attach a photo of the poster with this post for reference. Ladies, all I can say...those photos of me were taken after a hike in 109 degree heat to a small cove at Lake Mead. I drank all of Jody's gatorade and almost passed out twice. You could never tell the buzzards were circling from the pictures. Last chance until 2010...reservations are limited!!

My friend and teacher..I can't wait to meet you ladies (I HOPE) at Tribes next year...I LOVE YOU AMY..RAK ON..

Introduction of Amy Tucker

I am so pleased to announce, after a long wait and many tribe posts, Amy Tucker is all moved in and dancing with Sacred Dance Company. Amy has been teaching in a remote village and was assigned to Palmer Middle School, right across from our studio. Amy is an amazing young woman who brings to our troupe and to the dance community, a very strong background in ATS, Gypsy Caravan, Urban Tribal, Tribal Fusion, and Cabaret. She has taught classes in the above mentioned, worked as a team in her studio with other forms of dance, including Flamenco and has been the director of her own troupe in Florida. Her knowledge is amazing and brings to us, a new venue for Tribal Belly Dance. She is an absolute delight filled with passion for dance, willingness to teach and be taught, as well as embrace us as her new sister family. Amy is the mother of four children and is in the process of adopting a new baby from China. What else can I tell you? She was wearing a hip scarf today, that might come up missing!!

As we danced today, I could not help but be grateful for such a beautiful spirit among us. We are so excited to welcome her into our troupe and dance community and thrilled to have the opportunity to learn so many new aspects of Tribal. This is going to be a great adventure!!

What a wonderful tribe Jo! Of course the fantabulous Joanna would be the reigning goddess of Middle Earth. Dancing in the sunshine, the moonshine, the rain drops, and moving everyone to tears with the beauty of the earth reflected in her dance. Love you Jo!

Glenn Brogan~Beyond Pairadice Studio~ Las Vegas, Nevada~ Last call for photo shoot!!!

Just a reminder that Glenn Brogan will be in Alaska June 21-22nd through June 28th, and is offering photo shoots for Dancers, Troupes and Family. You can see his fabulous photography through Beyond Pairadice in Tribe as well as in several personal profiles, including mine. Glenn is offering , for dancers, a sitting fee of $300.00 for two and with each additional person, the increase will be $50. This includes a high definition CD of all your photos, as well as all the copyright use for those photos. If there are several of you who only want a single sitting for just one person, I will try to arrange the shoot to accomodate those people, so that the price will remain fair for all. Glenn is offering a family shoot for $300 which will include all the photos as well as copyright use.

Some of the questions asked at the first posting:
Change of Costume: Absolutely! More than one?...we would need to assure the costume changes were on a time frame, but please email me so that I know what to schedule.
What is included in troupe photos: Photos of the troupe as well as individual photos of each person in the troupe.
Can a troupe use the family shoot: No. I know we are all "family", but a family shoot is designed and completed within a certain time frame. Troupe photos are taken over a longer period of time and have many more photo opportunities.
Where is Glenn going to be: Tentatively, he will be in the Anchorage/Girdwood/Seward area and possibly Fairbanks, if there is interest. He will also be taking photographs of our beautiful state while he is here and enjoying the scenery.
Where will the photos be taken: That depends on what type of photographs, outdoor, studio, near a waterfall, or if you have a special area in mind that does not take him to far from his other photo shoots. I am open to suggestions or in the event that your troupe has an idea, we will work with you to make this a fabulous event.

IMPORTANT: Please let me know, as soon as possible, if you and or your family or troupe is interested. Those that have already contacted me...Please contact me again so that we can confirm your shoot and go over the particulars. Deadline for appointments for photo shoots is May 7, 2008. Thanks Ladies!!!
