Hi all-
I have a question about diaper rash. My 5 month old babe hasn't really had diaper rash except for a tiny patch on his bum that only lasted a day. Now i'm noticing something that looks rash like on his thighs where his diaper ends (he wears mother ease 1 size). It doesn't look like the rash on his bum and it doesn't respond to rash creme (it kind of looks like a heat rash). I'm making sure that I clean him and his wraps really well but I'm not sure what it is.
Anyone else experience a rash on the baby's thighs with their cd's? Can diaper rash appear on the thighs?

Sun, April 6, 2008 - 7:10 AMThanks for the input. I don't think the dipes are too tight because I adjusted them to make them bigger before the rash. Maybe its heat rash, it finally is warming up where I live. I also suspected that it was the wipe solution my hubby made. We use cloth wipes and his solution was more filmy than mine and I think that may have irritated him.
It is getting better though.

Sun, April 6, 2008 - 11:57 AMI learned a good rule of thumb recently that made me kinda go "Doh!" (because i didn't figure that one out on my own)
If it's in the folds where skin touches skin, it's likely yeast
If it's on the surface, where diaper, clothes etc touch it, it's likely contact irritation.
