- Working for yourself is 95% about getting the work, and 5% about doing the work.
- Personal connections are the best way to get work. The more people who do what you do, the more important personal connections become.
GROUP NOTES

- Think about what aspect of the your work is really YOU.
- Have a card.
- Where is the ease? That's where the gift is.
- Get three phone numbers or emails from each person you meet
- Ask for and encourage feedback. Get specifics. Use the best bits as testimonials to help you get more work.
- Volunteer your time.
- Find the people in your field who you really respect.
- Collaborate.
- Cooperate.
- Link to organizations for resources and training.
