The ecto mailing list (www.smoe.org/ecto/ecto.html) was founded in 1991 as a forum dedicated exclusively to the discussion of the music of Happy Rhodes (auntiesocialmusic.com). Since then, it has evolved into a place where fans of ectophilic music and art in general have gathered.

Ectophiles the world over embrace music that embodies the combined qualities of artistic individuality and euphonic beauty. Nowhere is this most evident than in the Ectophile's Guide to Good Music (www.ectoguide.org), a compilation of the many comments, recommendations and reviews of music made over the years by ectophiles everywhere.

This Tribe is not intended to replace the venerable Fuzzy Blue Mailing List, but to supplement it for tribe.net users as a place for ectophiles to discover and contact each other, announce ecto-related events of interest to the tribe.net community, and promote Happy Awareness here on tribe.net
