where does it come from???

well alot of you that have seen me perform, have seen my style . Back in the day when I was in middle school I was really into popping. Alot of the kids would battle against each other and I freaking luved it. I also fell in love with bellydancing. so now that bellydancing has evolved into different styles. I thought why not throw in some popping. I guess it really worked. I never thought I would be popping with bellydance hahaha i luvs it

What is popping????

Popping is a funk dance and street dance style based on the technique of quickly contracting and relaxing muscles to cause a jerk in the dancer's body, referred to as a pop or a hit. This is done continuously to the rhythm of a song in combination with various movements and poses.[1] A popping dancer is commonly referred to as a popper. Techniques are strobing, ticking, botting, backslide aka moonwalk etc

$7 donation ~ This event is a Benefit for the Mara Triangle in the Masai Mara animal conserve in Africa, where post-election violence has seen a collapse in tourism due to political turmoil. The Mara Conservancy, a non-profit, was entirely dependent upon park entrance fees paid by visitors to manage the Mara Triangle, and since the New Year they've had to suffer severe cutbacks in critical park operations. Working on a reduced budget has already had an impact on their effectiveness, and May was tthe first month since January that they've started with no money to carry on.

Last month, rangers caught 6 poachers who had killed 37 Thomson Gazelles, and last month of ot heir rangers was shot and seriously injured when chasing cattle rustlers. The Big Cats in the park are also under threat since the collapse of the compensation scheme in January, which you can read more about this here: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/scien...7372298.stm

TWO AMAZING WORKSHOPS:
Atash Maya Dark and Sexy Choreo :: 12:30 pm-2:30 pm
Atash Maya has been known for their edgy and sexually powerful style: Dark gothic stylized choreography ~ combos for your not so traditional performances. This is an advanced choreography including floorwork, a slow drop from standing, layered techniques both fast and slow, and fast spot turns. The choreography has been broken down into 3 combos for Improvisational stylized belly dance. All Level dancers are welcome to attend, but beginners please allow yourself time to journal and observe techniques before trying if needed.

Slow and Sweet Stylized Combos :: 3:00 pm-5:00 pm
Sabrina will teach 2-4 Slow and Sweet Tribal fusion combos. Each combo will be an 8 count of 8 phrases that can be easily applied to your favorite music, used in solo or group Improvisational dance, developed choreography, or home practice. Every technique within the combos will be clearly broken down and drilled until comfortably understood. Students will also be given a handout describing each combo clearly. Keep in mind Slow is more challenging than rhythmic, bring a notebook you will need it. This is an Intermediate to advanced level workshop, dancers will gain tremendous ability and insight from this workshop. Please don’t forget your yoga mat!

I suffer from oversleep.

No. Don't laugh. Don't snort. Don't scoff.

I really do.

I'm not a morning person at all. I hate mornings.

I don't hate the actual morningness of the morning. Morning is special. Morning is magical. Seeing the world while it's still dark, watching the sun come up, listening to every bird under that sun sing its heart out – that's amazing.

It's the waking up part I don't get along with.

It hurts. It's so much easier to stay put. You know the story. You wake up and there's nowhere you have to be so maybe you'll stay in bed just a little while longer.

And longer.

Zzzzzzzz.

And lo and behold it's nearly midday. Half the morning's gone. And you've had twelve hours sleep, and now you feel so groggy and exhausted from sleeping too much, that hell, you want to go back to bed again.

Then the headache comes on. Your sinuses are protesting, you're dehydrated. And you can't do anything for the whole day because you just can't shake off that feeling of tiredness and the pain between your eyes.

Days off are bad for me. Very, very bad. I should never be allowed to have days off.
