Viva Las Vegas Burlesque Competition 2008!

It's time to start gearing up for Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender 2008! I'm listed on their website for the initial voting portion of the burlesque competition. I would love to show Vegas how Rocka-belly Burlesque is done! The public votes to send 6 girls to the live competition at VLV in April. There are some great prizes like the cover of Shimmy! magazinge, and a page in the LA Burlesque calendar. Voting starts in January. In the meantime check me out on their website:

Buckingham Burlesque

Eden is taking the burlesque world by storm!

After the success of my burlesque debut at Stiletto 2.5 this past July, I was asked to be in October's 'Buckingham Burlesque' produced by dancing diva of the tease Charlotte la belle Araignee. This should be quite a spectacle with a bevy of beautiful dancing babes! It's also the Halloween show, so there should be plenty of spooks and ghouls included. I'll be debuting a brand new retro surf-rock romp complete with a new costume! Also, fabulous musical guest: The Tequila Worms!

Dita for Frederick's!

My new Frederick's catalog came in the mail today. Who's on the cover? No one but our favorite pin up queen, Dita Von Teese! She's gorgeous on every page. Definitely worth picking up!

Some people have inquired about where I get my pin-up dresses and clothing. I must say I get most of my neo-retro duds from "My Baby Jo" clothing store in West LA. My boyfriend has also been known to run up quite a tab there with Fedoras bowling shirts! I did some modeling for them with photog Erika Stanley, and can be seen on their website: mybabyjo.com. I still get tingles when I see my picture up there next to my all-time fave pin-up queen Bernie Dexter! The girls that run the shop, Darla and Iiesha, are sweet as can be. They also make fabulous flower hair accessories. Definitely worth a visit in person or online!

Arabia Exotica 2007 "Glamour in Exhile"

Thanks to all that came to see the show! It was fabulous! One great act after another. It was a thrill to be in the same show with dancers I've loved and dancers I've wanted to meet for years: Bellyqueen, Aubre, Kristina Canizares, Jenna and my all-time fave Catherine D'Lish. I made my 'Rocka-belly Burlesque' debut to the bellydance community and it felt well received. Thank you so much for all the support. I can't wait to see the DVD and watch it all over again! Thanks to Leela for all her hard work. I don't know how she does it so flawlessly year after year. The show keeps getting bigger and better. The pictures will be up as soon as I get them. Stay tuned for a special version of my piece on you tube!

Turkish Closet Coffee Party and Import Sale!

Jaynie Aydin of Turkish Closet is one of my favorite costume suppliers! She is having a sale and will be making her wonderful Turkish coffee (don't plan on getting to be early!) and selling her wares of Turkish textiles, glass blown evil eyes, costumes, clothing, spices and more! She'll also have treats. It's fun to browse, socialize and have a coffee while shopping for exotic treasures. I always end up buying a trinket or two that I seem to have missed the last time. She also imports gold! Yes, 22 carat in fact. Her new location in Venice is in a beautiful historic building that is now a dance studio. Place your orders before she leaves for Turkey!

Byblos Competition 9/26

Be sure to check out the pics from the Famous Stage competition at Byblos. I'm wearing my trademark green velvet costume. These things are rarely without controversy and competitions always produce mixed opinions. I went for the "Wow!" factor. Love me, hate me, but never forget me! It felt like my best performance to date. Thanks to all my friends who came out to give there support. You made it all worth the while!
