We took in a stray from my cousin, and the cat like to lie in the sink with the water dripping on it. I thought cats didn't like water? I find this behavior unusual.
She is a smart cat, the minute my children are in bed, she comes out to play.
Her favorite perch is on the chair next to the fish tank.

Sat, February 10, 2007 - 11:59 PMI had a cat named Kee Kee that loved to sit in the sink... but with water dripping on it, HUM - that's a bit odd. LOL!! Did ya know that I have 11 cats? Debbie - check out this page I made. shatteredglass.biz/animal1.html

Re: Cats are really strange creatures
Sun, February 11, 2007 - 6:34 AMI have friend with three cats and one of them will ONLY drink out of a dripping bathtub faucet. She bought them an electric automatic waterer thing for Christmas, the kind that has a little fountain going all the time, but she won't drink out of that, still only the faucet.

Re: Cats are really strange creatures
Sun, February 11, 2007 - 8:21 AMMy white one is insane. I just looked over at him, stretched out on the floor on his back, tail pointed toward me, head pointed away, and he was batting his front feet at ........ nothing. When he saw me checking out his hot bod *LOL*, he gave me "the look." -

Re: Cats are really strange creatures
Wed, February 14, 2007 - 11:22 AMOh My goodness, she caught a half frozen bird. She has no front claws. I put her out to go to the bathroom as she was trained outdoors we think and thought she had a leaf stuck on her face. When I let her in, I heard eep, epp, and she brought in a live bird. Cat and bird went back out quickly.
What was interesting was the change in her demeanor and the look on her face. She was mighty proud of her self and her eyes were glowing. Silly kitty, birds are for outside! -

Re: Cats are really strange creatures
Fri, March 16, 2007 - 6:19 PMBoth my dogs have developed a really strange cat habit. After they 'go', they step away and then they kick their back legs out three or four times really fast towards what they've just done. Grass flies everywhere and it looks like they're trying to cover it up. I have four cats and its really weird to watch the dogs do just what the cats do!

Sun, March 25, 2007 - 8:01 PMNorahz sorry about your pet. I lost my Ghost this year....
But on to strange....one of my cats, Fred ( we found him in a campground in Fredricksburg, Virginia) loves marshmallows. If I even open a bag he knows it and won't leave me alone until I give him one. Watching him eat them is hysterical - he makes a royal mess but he ends up eating the whole thing. Stupid cat! -

Re: Cats are really strange creatures
Wed, June 27, 2007 - 11:42 AMOK, this really tops the list. My cats Fred and Stinky go out, sit in the sun. Then they COME IN TO USE THE LITTER BOX, and then they go back outside again. How bizarre is this? I mean for heaven's sake they have the whole of the outdoors to dig in, why come back inside for me to have to scoop?
*sigh* -

Re: Cats are really strange creatures
Wed, June 27, 2007 - 1:42 PMI was cooking dinner the other night and while attempting to toss a large handful of fresh spinach in my pan, several dropped on the floor. Pyewacket ate them, stem and all. I dropped a few more and she ate those, too. She ate 15 spinach leaves.
Very strange. -

Sun, July 1, 2007 - 9:20 PMLOL, Jane... that's cute!! I had a cat named Kee Kee and he LOVED corn. I have a photo of him eating corn on the cob. Then my current Mama cat named "Shrimp", loves spaghetti... tomato sauce and all!!
Very strange.
Do any of your cats drool when you pet them? I have a few that do this. -

Re: Cats are really strange creatures
Mon, July 2, 2007 - 6:12 AMMy old cat Blue used to drool when she slept, but I've never had one that drooled while being petted.
Makes me wonder where's you're petting them!! :))

Re: Cats are really strange creatures
Thu, July 5, 2007 - 10:05 PMI had a cat, Tabitha, who *loved* lima beans. Started feeding them to her as a joke so I wouldn't have to eat them...she loved them! She also liked Ben & Jerry's. Weirdo.
And my parents used to have a cat who drooled when he was being petted. He was a virtual faucet. -

Re: Cats are really strange creatures
Fri, July 13, 2007 - 4:56 AMI have a friend who can 'talk' to cats. She gets right down in their face and begins a purring type thing and the next thing you know my female cat(who likes no one but me) is drooling all over herself. My mothers cat would get up on the counter where dinner plates were set and eat whatever was on the plate-including tomato sauce and onions!!!
