daw, I'm not too sure about this one. Rei says she was going for deliberate bad taste, but I think it just ended up looking dumpy for the most part. It didn't seem like new territory for CdG either. But the cut-out jackets are interesting, and the combination of patterns and fabrics in one outfit shows off the standard CdG fashion-forward design aesthetic. I just feel like it could've been done a little more cleanly and maybe taken in a direction not so similar to last season. It looks like Rei just phoned this one in. Maybe they told her to go to rehab and she said no, no, no?

I'm in NYC next week to visit CDG (as well as MMM and a few others). Not really sure if anything from the men's runways did it from me , but usually I find surprises that make me happy. I do like the shorts I got from Junya - they are slightly bunched in the back in a way that ought to be unflattering like Westwoods bustlebum pants - but that are hot as long an you have enough junk in the trunk... -

That reminds me I like the intentionally wrinkled pants, jackets, and suits from this Spring by Junya Man. I think I might get a pair of the shorts. -
