This tribe is for my EMF 129 class. This was a fictional tribe and was being moderated by my made-up avatar Tony "Muscle Man" Sanchez. This tribe was a parody of the fitness community, and the topics were highly exaggerated. I found this blogging experience very informative and thought-provoking. Before this point I had no experience with blogging. If I ever blog again I would like to do something a bit more serious and more about my actual interests.

Convention Blog #3

Some very exciting developments have unfolded out here at the convention!! It seems that Roland Stallone (step-brother of Sylvester Stallone) rushed and attacked Glen Kraust as he was finishing up his presentation and was leaving the stage. Apparantly some harsh words were exchanged amongst the two fitness superstars earlier today and tension has come to a head. After a brief scuffle on-stage the two were separated and allowed to discuss their situation. They seem to have a long fueled dislike of each other from the past and they then decided to settle this "past dispute" via an arm-wrestling match for the entire convention to see! THIS IS HUGE! Both of these men are extremely powerful and intense athletes. Some say that the 1987 movie "Over the Top" was based off of Roland Stallone's early career as a professional arm-wrestler. As the two men set-up on stage the crowd became very intense and ripe with anticipation. I was asked to referee the match, in which the loser would concede to other and apologize for whatever the "past dispute" was over. The two men had a gut-wrenching bout of strength and stamina for over 10 minutes! Eventually they began to talk about their dispute and negotiate as they held their arms in an iron lock of strength and power. After another 5 minutes of wrestling and negotiating, the two decided to call it a draw and formally apologize to each other. Apparantly the old argument was over an old girlfriend and a broken heart. Seems that it was all a misunderstanding, and the two announced that the feud was over and they will be handing out free sports shakes to all of the convention attendees. This will go down in history as one of the most extreme and epic showdowns of our lifetime!
This is Tony from the sports complex telling your all to stay intense and to get in the gym and LIFT SOME WEIGHT!

My wife just wrapped up her presentation and next up is Glen Kraust to discuss proper exercise form. He specializes is the squat-press (Glen is the 1993 squat-press champion). He started his presentation by getting on stage and getting under the demo squat bar setup and doing a few perfect 850 pound reps to please the crowd. The crowd seems pleased, and they all love Glen and his charismatic attitude. For age 63 he still showing us all what it means to be extreme. I am still posted over here signing autographs, pictures, weight plates, shirts, and babies. For those of you that haven't made it out yet, ITS NOT TOO LATE! We still have a few hours out here with some more presentations and excitement, so get off you ass and get down to the Sports Complex.

Hey, This is Tony, I'm out here at the Sports Complex watching the day unfold. We have about 200 people gathered, all seem to be serious extreme fitness enthusiasts. I am posted near the supplement buffet signing autographs and showing off a few of my new clothing designs to the folks. We have had a few of the guest speakers up already, next is my wife Ursila to talk about her ascension to female figure greatness and what she did to stay extreme and dedicated after all these years. All right troops, I will be back in a bit to give you all an update on the goings on over here at the Complex... stay frosty.

Product Reviews 4/15

This Week In Product Review.

The Bowlfex Blaze Home Gym: Great for the privileged guppies out there that have been cutting corners and endorsing global laziness since they were children. For $899 dollars you can purchase this “all inclusive” home gym equipment, but what is going to benefit you in the long run is getting into a real work out routine at a local gym. This machine uses their revolutionary “power rods” to provide the user with resistance during the 60 different exercises available. I have nothing against strength training, in fact I swear by it, but these damn machines are a weak excuse for getting in the gym and lifting real weight. There is nothing quite like the feeling of cold iron in your hands, a slightly rusted barbell laying across your chest, or the satisfaction you get as your sweaty gym partner spots you on that last repititon of squats. Go ahead and cut another corner in your life and spend hard earned money on the Bowflex Blaze, which will probably end up collecting dust in the corner of your den. For those of you that want to give it 100% and know that cheating yourself is the worst sin, take my word and get a damned gym membership and pound some weight.

The Under Armour Heatgear Tactical Compression Shorts are a godsend for anyone serious in the gym. They provide comfort, support, style, mobility, and temperature control. For you guys and gals that are in there every day sweating liters of your biological fluids, putting your muscled under extreme stress, and feeling like you need more support down there, these shorts are a MUST HAVE. I’m Tony Sanchez and I own 13 pairs of these shorts in all colors. I wear them not only when I’m in the dungeon tearing my body up, but I wear them around the house, to the grocery store, even when I go on romantic lunch dates with my wife to GNC or The Smoothie Hut. When your ready to head into battle you need to first get properly geared, make sure Under Armour Heatgear Tactical Compression Shorts are in your arsenal.

The Slendertone Women’s Flex Abdominal Toning System Belt is the third product I reviewed this week. This product uses electro-muscle stimulation to firm and tone your abdominal muscles. Now I know that a lot of you half-asses out there see a product like this and see a major shortcut as opposed to putting in the time and effort in the gym, but let me tell you that this product is a joke. You can’t scare your muscles into cooperating by electrocuting them, that is just stupid. You want results, you have to put in the work period.

Stay Wise,
-Tony Sanchez

The Event of Your Life Thursday 4/24

Listen up kiddies, we've got a little convention happening in a couple days that you might be interested in attending. Thursday, April 24th from 9am to 6pm, UEBB (Universal Extreme Body Builders) is holding a big gathering at the Sports Center in downtown. There will be many big names in the fitness industry attending including myself (Tony Sanchez), my lovely wife Ursila Sanchez, Glen Kraust (world squat-press record holder 1993), MacDonald McAdams (National representative of Extreme Body Supplements), Jaydine Hammill (former actor and WFMA champion 1988), and a possible appearance from Roland Stallone (Sylvester Stallone's step-brother and body-enhancing supplement expert). We will have various demonstrations throughout the day of various new exercises and equipment. You will get to see stuff and try this stuff before it even hits the market! Not to mention we will have Extreme Fitness workshops throughout the day from many of our guest speakers, and a live local band to help us stay pumped and grooving during the day. For all you hungry bastards out there we will have enough food and drinks to feed the Swedish Military out there, so come with your intensity and your appetite. This is not an invitation... its a direct order.

Assignment #2 "Welcome to the Jungle part 2"

To those out there that are new to the Iron Jungle, let me say this to you all: leave your past inhibitions at the door, burn that stupid college degree, flush that cell phone down the toilet, forget about watching your precious "Laguna Beach," and definitely forget about that whimpering leach of a girlfriend thats been sleeping with your best friend anyways. Leave all this bull at the door and step inside and lets get to work folks. This isn't about you, it isn't about me, its about defying time destiny, and creating something greater than yourself. Your body is your castle, and the world is full of foreign invaders that are going to try and rape and pillage your castle, now ask yourself "don't you want to stop those invaders dead in their tracks? Beat the snot out of them and play with their spines?" Then get your ass in the gym and get EXTREME! Do curls until your arms burst into flames, do squats until your bones turn to dust, do pull-ups until your backbone cries "mercy" and removes itself from your body. With proper technique, supplementation, diet, mentality, and most of all INTENSITY, all you boys and girls out there can become the superhuman freaks that predetermined destiny doesn't want you to be! So shut up, turn off that damned television (unless your watching one of my infomercials) and get in here!
- Tony Sanchez
