Cairo Egypt at her paternal grandmother Neina Sidky's apartment living room...she had come down from Assyut to go to school and she and her cousins would gather to dance and watch the outdoor cinema from her granmother's balcony in the alley below while drinking cooled water with mint leaves and essence of rose water or bitter orange blossom (neroli) while eating Lib' (raw pumpkin seeds which Egyptians eat at the movies instead of popcorn)

Iman was 14 at this time and as you see very happy...a little while after this the 67 war with Israel erupted and her favorite older cousin who was taking this picture was killed...
