This is an ALL LEVELS workshop. If you haven't taken from her before you are guaranteed to learn something new. :) Yasmin worked "over there" for over a decade and continues to produce music for her band (the Henkish family). She worked closely with Mona Saiid, Shoo Shoo Amin, Sahar Hamdi and many others. Learn from someone who headlined in Mona's clubs night after night!

Basic Egyptian Week-end Workshop

Saturday + Sunday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Basic Egyptian Technique
These two 3 hour classes are designed to teach the basic movements of classic Egyptian cabaret dancing. The workshop covers:
Basic hip movements
Posture
Thoracic and pelvic isolation
Shimmies
Snakes / Camels
Arm and Hand movements
Walking steps
Turns
Shoulder shakes
Deciphering Arabic music
Stomach rolls
Head movements
Leg and feet placement
The cost for the week-end workshop is $100.00 per student, payable at the time of registration by either credit card, check or money order (made out to Serpentine Inc. and sent to the address above). You MUST pre-register. No walk-ins will be accepted as space is limited. Registration is on a first come first served basis. Limited slots available for one day only ($65.00), but preference will be given to those who sign up for both days. Contact us to know more about this option.
