According to the official news agency MENA, Shalabi died in the hospital where he was admitted on October 26 for treatment of respiratory and heart problems, as well as diabetes.

Born on May 13, 1941, Shalabi acted in 70 films, about 25 soap operas and several plays that made him famous throughout the Arab world.

The actor achieved notoriety with the theatrical comedy "School of troublemakers" who also served in the Egyptian star Adel Emam.
