Recently, Maria in Boulder, Colorado gave me permission to post on Shira.net a list she had compiled of over 200 movies that have belly dancing scenes. Although most of the movies on her list were of movies made by North American and European production companies, a small number were made by Middle Eastern production companies.
Maria had this list on her web site for many years, and no longer has a way to contact the people who gave her the information about these movies. I'm trying to polish up the list a bit, adding details such as year the movies were originally released. For the movies from Egypt, Syria, and Lebanon, the titles she gave me were in English. I tried looking them up in imdb, but couldn't find them. It's not surprising - imdb's coverage of movies from the Middle East is somewhat spotty, and they sometimes don't have English titles in there for the Arabic movies.
So, I'm turning to the members of this tribe for help!
Can anybody tell me the following information for the movies below?
1. Arabic-language titles
2. Year they were released
3. Name of the dancer(s)

I believe that the original source that told me which countries the movies came from could have been mistaken. I find your knowledge to be more credible, so I will use your corrections on my list.
May I ask some follow-up questions? Here they are:
1. In Suffering on Smiling Lips, you mentioned Nelly was in the cast. Do I remember correctly that Nelly was also a dancer? Was she the dancer who did the performance in this movie?
2. In Alf Bouss wa Boussa (1001 Kisses), you said Nagwa Fouad was in the cast. Would I be correct in guessing that she was the dancer who performed in the dance scenes? -

and i apologize because i made a mistake , i was confused between two films with similar titles ...
suffering on smiling lips [ al azab fouk shefah tabtism] a 1974 husband and wife cheat story starring nagwa ibrahim-mahmoud yassin , they don't show that film much thanks to sexual hints dialouge[sometimes] i don't recall seeing any dancing in the film but it was directed by hassan el emam whish his films never miss a dance...
alf bous wa bousa[1001kiss- 1977] , is nagwa fouad production a musical where she and young yousra share two dance numbers and solo dance along other dances of yousra and the cast of the film [ minus nagwa]
