Wed, April 30, 2008 - 7:47 AMMore quirky than functional.
The tenori is pretty neat in a performance application. Beyond that, I can't really see it being a great tool. It sure looks neat. But that's not what I worry about when I make tunes.
The candy player is a joke. Who can make music with one bar of 4/4 broken down to only 16th notes. And only space for 4 sounds? Me thinks I smell a gimmick. -

Re: I came here to chew bubblegum and kick beats!
Fri, May 2, 2008 - 9:25 AMThis thing is cute: www.crosleyradio.com/prods/cr249.html I don't know yet what filetype it converts to, but I may get one seeing as I do not have a table of my own.
Costco had an Audio Technica vinyl to mp3 converting table for just over $100 I was considering buying but I think I've missed out on that.
There are also a few Hammacher Schlemmer vinyl to mp3 converters, for instance: www.hammacher.com/publish/74106.asp www.hammacher.com/publish/74920.asp
And yes I'm aware that you can record from regular tables, and to higher quality formats than mp3. -

Fri, May 2, 2008 - 12:37 PMTo boot, I don't feel that at that price range ($100-200) you will be getting quality hardware. -
