I've been getting more and more into gabber lately, trying to make some heavy stuff. I can only really do it if I'm angry, I find.

Re: who likes gabber?
Sun, September 9, 2007 - 5:17 PMI'm not a fan as most of it doesn't have any heart or thought behind it that I perceive, but there is always a diamond in the rough. Beytah boy in here likes the hard core. He'd be a good source if you need tips. Makes some really rough stough. -

Re: who likes gabber?
Mon, September 10, 2007 - 12:41 AMsweet! I do agree with you on most gabber not really having anything special. However, I do have some favourite artists that put out some pretty wild gabber, and I think I myself am doing a pretty good job of it with my recent stuff. -

Re: who likes gabber?
Mon, September 10, 2007 - 9:42 AMI've got a theory that if you're digging for music in a genre (any genre) most of it is going to be pure crap. It's proven very true and no one has ever totally disagreed. So, I imagine with gabber (and other hardcore), the good stuff is about, oh, 3% of what's been made - lol. Stay in that top 3%, yo. -

Re: who likes gabber?
Tue, September 11, 2007 - 1:58 PMI loves me some gabber! I've never attempted to make any. The overall musical structure of it looks pretty simple but I could be wrong.
Start with Rotterdam Terror Corps and work your way down. -

Re: who likes gabber?
Tue, September 11, 2007 - 2:23 PMIt can be pretty simple if you just want to make simple gabber, same with IDM. Check out ''My Cock Is OK'' on www.icompositions,com/artists/shavingronaldscar for my complicated gabber, if you'd care to.
Also, check out Judith Priest for some heavy, complex ''clericore'' as he calls it. -

Re: who likes gabber?
Tue, September 11, 2007 - 6:32 PMgabber can go either way for me. I've been at gabber parties where the music was so pounding and repetitive that my sober ass was grinding teeth out of pure boredom. I really like French gabber and speedcore best, its very experimental and industrial. Shaving ronalds car is skullfuckability maxxx! I'm digging what I hear. -

Mon, November 19, 2007 - 7:50 PMNice one. Can't wait to peep them out. Sorry about the breakup, but hey, if it spawns creativity it can't be all bad.

Wed, January 30, 2008 - 2:10 PMMy childhood has just been torn from me viciously by the mix of B and E with death metal. that was awesome. I hope it comes back soon so I can do it again.
