We are starting a local robotic combat league here in Utah. As this will likely be debuted in the burner community the inaugural event will be limited to all wood construction and using fire as the weapon of choice! If you are interested in participating let me know at (inventgeek@gmail.com) and we will be distributing rules and regs as they are finished out for feedback and refinement.

But what if I don’t know how to build a robot you may say…. This is not meant to be a solo effort, though we won’t discourage that as well. There are many different skills that can help a team succeed from scrounging, wood working, engineering and design to robotics, RC experience and electronics… so worst case if you want to participate we will help get your skills out to so teams can be formed.

We will also be putting together some basic community involved classes that will help teach and demonstrate different teniques and design methods to help answer some of those questions you may have if this is your first venture into the relm of robotics.
