Good books on the subject?

I've read a few Elizabeth biographies, one of the best being "The Children of Henry VIII" by Alison Weir. There are a few historical inaccuracies but it's still invaluable, and honestly kind of chilling, in that it tries to display how volatile and tenuous the Tudor court was.

Has anyone read any other must-read Tudor books?

New HBO Miniseries

There's a new HBO 2-part minseries called "Elizabeth I" premiering on 22 April.

Is anyone looking forward to this? The fact that it has Helen Mirren is an immediate plus- while not as physically similar to Elizabeth as say, Cate Blanchette is, she gives off that vibe of simultaneous confidence and flirtatiousness that Elizabeth was said to have. Add Jeremy Irons (though I have no idea who he's playing) and I think it'll be worth watching.

Elizabethan Prose

I was wondering if anyone had some good leads on prose for this period. My brain is realitively small and when i think of Elizabethan England i only imagine poetry and plays flooding the streets. But I can't roll any prose writers off my tounge. I know there must be some.
