    Hi Christina,

My birthday is May 29th, I'll be 37. Only 3 more years until 40! In some ways I still feel like a young person in my early 20's, and then on other days I feel about 80 years old. Make sure your birthday is listed so that we can all do the same for you. Take care.

    Hello Christina, hello everybody,
I hope you are all doing fine! We read Christina's message and you are right: We are all writing only medical stuff, but there are also so many positive things in our lives!
Therefore I would like to write about some positive news of our daughter Hannah. Maybe you are all interesting in getting to know that Hannah is now a very proud owner of a completely new electric bicycle. It is really very cool (as also all her friends say) and the electric motor helps her going uphill. Hannah feels very enthusiastic about the fact that she has become more independent with her new bike.
We have seen that many of you live with very nice dogs. We live with two guinea pigs. Hannah’s brother David owns a white one that he calls "Schnuppi" (which means probably "sniffy" in English) and Hannah has a brown one that is called "Klecksi" (which refers to a tiny black blot/smudge in the guinea pigs face!). They both like eating the whole day through and are funny small friends for our kids.
Hannah was born in 1996 on the 26th of May. She thinks that May is the most beautiful month of the year because it is springtime and she celebrates her birthday then. Therefore in about two months she will be celebrating her 11th birthday; I can hardly believe it, time goes so fast.
Wishing you all the best and keep thinking positively!
    Vera and Hannah

Hello Irene, nice to meet you. And happy to inform you that your not the oldest, I'm 45. And there are a few older people with Engelmann's that I have corresponded with over the years but not on tribe. I've always found that hot baths help for a very short time too. I have alot of spinial problems from this too. I have children also and so far only my 13 year daughter has developed some symptoms. But this can't be confirmed at this point. Please tell me if this ran in your family or if you were the first in your family lineage like myself to develope camurati Engelmann's disease. Again nice meeting you, good luck , I look forward to your reply.

Hi there Blaise. I was just reading one of your posts and thought I would say Hello. I am one of the "Older" CED on Tribe! I will be 40 this next year! So far I am the only one on my family that has CED. My docs up at Cedars Sinai say that I got it from one of my parents but because we can't get anyone to test them, we don't know where I got it. I have two other siblings and they don't show and signs. I have two kids 1 girl and one boy. My daughter is the one that has symptoms. She was tested and she does habe the gene so she will probably have symptome later in life. She dances 5 days a week and is in an advanced Tap class! That is amazing to me! If I tapped for 2 seconds I would be in the hospital with the pain so oput of control it's ont even funny! As far as she is concerned, I want her to dance as long as she can. I have figured out that is you do some non impact excercising your going to feel the same amount of pain that if you don't do it. I am doing some yoga and water areboics to try and loose some weight. I hope you find this sight a great place to come and know that there are a lot like you! (Even an Older one!) Hope to hear from you soon.
          ~M
