Pronounced "E-oh-toe" the duo consists of Jason Hann and Michael Travis playing 100% improvised live shake-your-bones and get-your-groove-on (and deeply) music. Word is the EOTO experience has touched souls. As moderator and EOTO dance floor participant, I can vouch for that.
Jason & Travis use cutting-edge technology to create inspired, original in-the-moment dance music, with the power of live drums and instrumentation.
Onstage, EOTO's music is created, recorded and mixed live for a continually evolving & layered musical experience. Jason plays drum kit, percussion & sampler; Michael's in charge of the tonal elements: playing bass, guitar, keyboards, hand percussion & live mixing. 100% improvisation inspires a unique dance experience for each show.
What's in a name? EOTO believes in letting folks take what they need from the experience; this includes definitions of band name and cd titles. Theories include: EOTO: End Of Time Observatory; Each One Teach One. Japanese fans have said that in Japanese EOTO means "good sound."
