I just wanted to post a lil' something, to say thank you to all you ladies.
Thank you so much for asking us to come and be a part of this special time in Jessica's life. Thank you for being so kind, genuine, and loving. Thank you for being so good to us (Diana and I), and thank you, for respecting us, and welcoming us into your 'circle' with such open arms and hearts. All of you are so special to us... Salem, Vikky, RoRo, Jess, Lisa, Allison (hope you're less sore today, too!!) Carlala, Sheryl, Paula, Anita, Annette, and more ... **ALL** you amazing Erie ladies!!!!
Annette and Anita -- thanks for working that rehearsal out so we could all be there together, and thanks for letting is be a part of your vision. I look forward to being a part of it live :)
Salem... thank you for putting that beautiful shower together, and much credit to anyone who helped make that happen.
We love you all so much... and Jess... I'm still gushing over for you. You looked wonderful yesterday. You were just glowing inside and out. I didn't hear the ocean when I had my ear to your belly, but I felt lots o' good vibes and the very strong and powerful love you have goin' on. And I am so happy for you, and your family.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 31st (Lelelelele!!!).

Since I eloped, I never had a bridal shower, so this was my first shower ever! When I got married, I had only been in Erie for two years, and I hadn't met most of you yet. I didn't really have many friends yet in Erie, and most of my close friends were all over the country, or we had kinda grown apart.
I just wanted to say how much Saturday meant to me. I've never had such a big wonderful group of friends, and I spent the evening a little teary eyed. I love each and every one of you so much, and I know you all know how much this pregnancy means to me. Thank you so much for making it a special day, for all the gifts, cake, food, decorations, henna on my belly, the laughs and good times. It was a perfect day and I will always remember it.
Pete was really excited and grateful about all the gifts and very happy for me that "you have such a great group of friends". We can't wait for all of you to meet the new addition this summer!

we both have a blue eyed parent. My sister has brown eyes, and so does her husband, but they each have a blue eyed parent, so my niece has blue eyes! Plus, Pete (and my mom and brother) were blond as babies. So it's actually possible that our baby may have blue eyes and blond hair! If that happens, be prepared to hear my husband tease me that I screwed the mailman or something. -

I was waiting for a bellydance costume to arrive in mail when I lived with her and it was taking forever and he actually offered to deliver it on a Sunday if it came in Sat eve... no kiddin! Then when the box came he could hear jingling and you could tell he just couldn't stand it, he had to ask what the heck was in the package. Needless to say, the look on his face was priceless when we told him what it was! -

Thu, April 24, 2008 - 8:22 PMI think my mailman is wondering what I do!!! I'm always home when he delivers (I teach early morning classes, BTW) and I get a lot of strange packages from Turkey. Plus Chris is always getting mail order stuff. I bet he doesn't even think that I leave the house!! One of those strange recluse women who shops only online and wears pajamas in the afternoon.
