"Masque of the Red Death" will be based on the works of Edgar Alan Poe. Poe's dark tales can easily be eroticized for this event. Of course the "Masque of the Red Death" theme is that of a decadent masquerade ball which will be our focus and easy to dress for. We're not asking that you spend a lot of money on your costume, just be creative. With such a broad theme there are countless possibilities. Many costume shops would love your business at this time of year but if you wish to attend in other than theme attire we ask that you please dress appropriately for a fetish event; leather, latex, goth, glam drag, etc. If in doubt please ask beforehand. We have included the Masque on the ES site but it's easy to look up his poetry and other short stories for ideas online, www.online-literature.com/poe
This is a fetish oriented event with open nudity, sexual and sado-masochistic activity, and as such there will be dungeon equipment for use by those of us who are exhibitionists. For those who enjoy dancing our DJ will be Christopher Alan who is an incredible darkwave DJ, perfect for this event. There will be a couple of theme performances fitted into this evening as well.
These socials are invitation only so please do not discuss them publicly. We take privacy very seriously and will do everything possible to protect the participants of my events. If there is someone whom you feel may enjoy this type of event and you believe they have the social graces to participate you may have them contact Ozgolith directly, oz@erossociety.org. If you need an invitation please read our membership page. It's not hard to get the invite currently, simply ask! Do not invite people to the event who do not belong. We have been lenient but are going to start enforcing our dress code and invitations.
The setup is as usual: Party starts @ 10 and ends about 7am depending on how the function is going. The event is BYOB with mixers and munchies provided and a limited punch by Oz. The dungeon is open for play, the main room is open for play and dancing. Smoking is only allowed on the patio. No photography without express permission from the group and all of those to be photographed, ie: if you want a shot of your scene for prosperity. Members are $12, guests are $16.
As much as we love having people we have to charge for our events. If you wish to help out, do a performance or demo, etc, to offset admission please contact Ozgolith, oz@erossociety.org.
