I have a place to start an MSc in EthBot in the UK Sept 2009. Given my undergrad was in Anthropology I want to spend the next year gaining as much experience as I can within the field - just to make sure its really what I want to do!
Any advice or ideas would be highly appreciated - Ethnobotany is not so big in the UK so I am more than prepared to travel elsewhere, and may well be in Black Rock desert in a couple of weeks anyway!
thankyou

Fri, November 21, 2008 - 11:32 AMcome on down to iquitos where the medicinal plants and curanderos thrive! I've got an herbarium in my house and the University has a huge one. Mine is around 10,000 plants on acid free paper but the University probably has 100,000.. -

Fri, November 21, 2008 - 3:32 PMUh, Alan Shoemaker, The Upper Amazon is in Brazil, was, and will always be. I'm not really into Peru, myself, Nor the alma, which more correctly is called Alba, native to Columbia. Like Columbian Spanish for "Soul". Like Psyhotria Alba, sometimes called Carthagenensis.
