I note that it is in bud form and also that the individual was buried with other high value items - so pot was considered a high value item

Caroline Casey had an inteview with the one of the archaeologists who fund this yesterday (12/4) on KPFA...you can probably stream it from www.kpfa.org. I heard about half of their talk and it was pretty intersting though I sometimes only listen to Caroline Casey because her *guests* are intelligent and interesting, if you know what I mean. (she bores me with her self promotion as the Coyote Shaman Visionary Activist l to be blunt.) u can alsocheck out Carloine;s website coyote network news, for more on this.
I majored in anthropology with an emphasis on medical anthropology, and it really is fascinating.

grow link - now if i had exposeure to That type of science when i was a kid, i probably would have grown up to be a scientist

interesting the balance of cannabanoids and THC - I say someone step up to the plate and smoke it! Instead of shouting,
"Drill baby Drill," how about "smoke baby smoke!"

The balance between these different psychoactive chemicals in pot is proabably crucial to the quality of its effects upon our minds
perhaps breeding with a plant like this could bring modern weed more into balance - right now i believe it has been so profoundly
manipulated by man that we have creative not something more or something better ... but something altoghter different. Just as we
have done with other plants, we have manipulated it less for taste than side, quickness to ripen, "traveling" tolerance and so we
get tomatoes that take nothing like fresh tomatoes out of our summer gardens. Same with pot - breed not for the subtle quality of
it high so much as for yield, sensitivity to dark manipulation, quickness to harvest.

Haha. I read the title of this post "2700 pounds of two year old marijuana"

    Wishful thinking, perhaps.

here is the link to the original article rom the Journal of Experimental Botany...

th paper 9available for free and ok to reproduce) as also on Caroline Casey's website, Coyote network news, and I knew o look there because she interviewed Ethan Russo, one of the scientific team who invesigated this find, on her show on KPFA last week. he soundd brilliant; she was as irritating about how she's the Queen of Compassionate ricksterism as usual.

but the reason they vlieve him a shamn is that he was bried with (other) high value items ...remember that the "medicineman" or "medicine woman" of older societies did not have a clear line between the material and spiritual meanings f "medicine." it;s not known, according to Dr Russo, whether the man ho was buried here used the stash to treat other people with physical o phsychoic ailments, or whether he used it to reach states of consciousness in which he could o so. (coul be both.)
