The title and theme for our upcoming show is Bold As Love. As I was getting all my performers together I noticed a very striking theme. All of these people are just some of the JUICIEST individuals I know. They are all beautiful on the outside - just beautiful, strong, learned, wicked and talented. They are all BOLD personalities. The name stuck - and so did the image of Jimi Hendrix' album of the same name. Mandolin is taking his inspiration from that album cover and is creating a GORGEOUS new flyer!!!!! It will be ready next week. I can't wait!!!!!

Here's a hint though - he wasn't able to dance at Mother Love due to a shoulder injury, I talked to him last night - not only is he healed - but READY!!!!

Tue, July 1, 2008 - 4:44 PMOur location has CHANGED!!!!!!!!!!! Please help get the word around. Our new FABULOUS venue may not be a hot Hollywood nightspot, but as far as dance history goes Studio A is as much a part of LA Bellydance history as places like Dar Marghreb and Moun of Tunis.

Katherine of Subee Djinn used to teach there. I've been taking classes and workshops from Mesmera there for almost 10 years. The list of teachers and events goes on and on, the most recent show was Sina's Menagerie of Twelve - which was awesome! The studio has a gorgeous Patio - and Lotus Henna will be there for you to get tagged!!!! It's going to be a great evening - summer breezes coming through the huge open doors leading to the patio, drinks and refreshments to satisfy your tummy, and of course - the dancers - man - the dancers will blow you away!!!!

The new flyer for the BOLD AS LOVE show was created by Manny Elias. He uses traditional as well as modern artistic techniques to bring his vision into existence. This flyer was based on my idea of the show and it's fabulous dancers. He took it from there and just added my words. The result is what you see as the Tribe Icon - she is lovely no? -

and seeing michael after such a long time was so sweet! cant wait to see the pics that both of the photographers got!
