So I am wearing a form fitting costume for my next solo, see pic on my profie. Thing is I need to conceal, and have easy access to two props during the number without them falling to the floor lol
One is a knife/dagger (fake of course) the other is a red scarf (square doo rag stylie0
Any ideas how to conceal but have easy access without them dropping on floor while I dance?

Tue, August 25, 2009 - 11:52 AMmaybe have a bit of atmosphere with materials over tables, urns, etc and then lace them on the table or hanging so you can easily access the props. -

Tue, August 25, 2009 - 12:50 PMHow about putting the scarf inside your hat? You could make a big production out of removing it and putting the hat back on. If that won't work you could stuff it in your bosom between the bra and jacket.
As for the dagger the only thing I can think of is a scabbard on a belt with it tucked in the small of your back. Ohhhh or a sheath attached to one of your arms somewhere. It would so go with that jacket. Just make sure it has a safety loop so it doesn't come out while dancing beforehand. -

Sun, August 30, 2009 - 8:22 AMYes my friend Ann could do it but problem solved all bar one. I found a fancy dress set of 'V for Vednetaa' daggers that come on a belt so the belt will show at the front and daggers will be on my hips, and a thin silk handkerchief which will tuck down small and fit into my bra. The one prop I may habe to get a prop mistress for is I now want to hand out artificial black roses at one point. -
