Shhh. Don't tell anybody, but this year's benefit concert is turning into a musical Pangaea. The continents of Los Lobos, String Cheese Incident, Galactic, Storm & the Balls, Phil & Friends, Strings For Industry, and more are all coming together for a weekend of epic proportions. Tickets are going faster than ever. Plus we've received some great big ticket items for our Saturday night Silent Auction and Raffle, and, oh yeah, we almost forgot this last "little" mention...Keith Moseley (of String Cheese Incident fame) will open our Saturday show (with friends) and join the Everyone Orchestra for some double-rockin', double-bass beatdowns with jamgrass buddy, Tye North.

Add to that the new additions of Pangaea first-timer James Beaton of Storm Large & the Balls and Everclear, and veteran Tony Furtado and that gives us a heck of a line-up.

Want to meet the E.O. Players and watch their Saturday Soundcheck? Then buy the Pangaea Ticket Package! This year's package includes one ticket to each night of the benefit, one commemorative hand-pulled silkscreen event poster, and a Saturday Soundcheck and pre-show Artist Meet & Greet/Poster signing. Cost for the package is $80 plus applicable Ticketmaster fees. Buy yours now!
Kevin Bacon, Meet Matt Butler. A few of us were in a meeting the other day when someone started pointing out the various "Bacon Numbers" of separation between the E.O. players, organizers, and fans involved in this year's celebration. This got us to thinking, what if other people attending the benefit next month each posted their six degrees of the Pangaea Project Benefit on the Pangaea Benefit site and our Tribe.net page ... relevant details, stories, trivia, etc. What will we discover about each other and the people around us? Pangaea and EO are all about community so it seems only appropriate. We can't wait to hear your stories and learn how connected we all really are.

Here are some ideas to get you going. Please join in and create your own!
Jeff Sipe and Tye North played together in Leftover Salmon.
Jeff is the founder of Zambiland Orchestra to which EO attributes much of its inspiration.
Matt Butler of EO met Stanton Moore while drumming at a Zambiland performance in Atlanta.
When our friend Sun Lee of KBOO Radio won the guest conductor raffle at the benefit in '06, he was wearing a Zambiland t-shirt.

Whatever you do, Take care of your shoes! And don't forget this website - www.pangaeabenefit.org - it's your key to all things Pangaea (and then some). Friday and Saturday, May 16 & 17, at the Crystal Ballroom!
