There's nothing like it, is there? You spend a long while working your way up to it every year, then it's a long, action packed weekend (or week, practically) full of workshops, shopping, visiting old friends, making new ones, watching performances and (this year) trying to stay cool!
I went back to work on Monday--well, my body did. My brain was still re-living TF! It's been an exhausting week, to say the least. (:
I taught a workshop which was so much fun. I loved sharing the work EvilEye has been doing and I wish I had more time! Among the students who were all fabulous, I had the Rock Rose young ones. Those girls can dance. They were adorable, well-behaved and even thanked me after class. Thanks to all the workshop attendees for dragging themselves to a Sunday morning class. A feat unto itself. Special thanks to Noey for figuring out the sound. DJ genes are real.
Our show went well. We had a blast and after years of performing on that narrow stage, it seems that I never get accustomed to it! Maybe next year? I can't wait to see the DVD. If anyone has pictures, I'd love to see them. Feel free to post here.

Sat, May 24, 2008 - 9:00 PMHaha! Yes, I believe the DJ gene is on the 14th chromosome.
Your class was really great - combos that were true in ATS/ITS style yet innovative and it was something that participants could take home and use right away! It was also nice to see such a variety of students enjoy your workshop, from teachers to teenagers! -

Sun, May 25, 2008 - 10:30 AMI was really honored to have Sabine in my class, as well as Mariah of Rock Rose. I was equally honored to have participants who didn't know me and just took a gamble on the class. And I'm glad you were there because if you weren't, we'd have had to dance to my humming, singing and zills the whole time!
