Hello Divas-
I teach Burlesque and Exotic Dancing at my Bellydance Studio, and am always looking for new songs for the ladies. Any favorites?

Thanks in advance!

Might be on your playlist already, but these are my students' favs.

Nasty Naughty Boy by Cristina Aguilera (classic and wonderful for teaching!)
    Fever (live) by Michael Buble
You Know I'm No Good by Amy Winehouse
Lady Marmalade from Moulin Rouge Soundtrack
    Erotica by Madonna
    Lick by Joi
Ooops (Oh My) by Tweet and Missy Elliot
    Super Freak by Rick James
Sooner or Later by Madonna (really slowwwwww)
    Cream by Prince
    Kiss by Prince
I'm A Slave for You by Britney (not my fav, but students love it)
    Toxic by the same bimbo
Nasty Grind by Adina Howard ( I love the timing and cadence of this song)
    Big Spender by Bette Midler
In These Shoes by Bette Midler (someone else does it too...can't think of her name) Bette does great burlesque songs!

    Hope this helps a little!

      I / we like...
      Stripped... Depech Mode (sp?)
Save a horse, ride a cowboy
Pussy Cat Dolls... Buttons, Hot like me... heck, the whole album works
      Hotline, Goddies, 1-2-step... Ciara
Yeah... (I don't know who does it, I know lil'john is in it)
      I touch myself
      Drop it like it's Hot
      Smack that
      Girl fight
      I'm lost without you
      Party for Two
      Hot in Here
      Billy Jean Remix

Geee... I don't really know a lot of the artist. Sorry, I hope you recognize the song titles anyway. I have a very hip student who turns me on to all this modern stuff. HA! Thankfully =)

thank you, divas! I've used a lot of your suggestions in class, and the girls have really liked them. What a fun danceform. I've danced classically since the age of five, and I am LOVING teaching these exotic classes. It's so fun to just let go. I'm glad its catching on.

And by the way, those of you who haven't gotten Lady M's new dvd----It's wondeful~ she is adorable, and its a good, quality video. Thanks for putting it out there!

        Thanks Suspira *still blushing*

World Dance is such a great company. They trusted me, and let me have free rein over my programs. I feel so blessed.

(by-the-by).. I know just what you mean about "it's so fun to just let go". I couldn't agree more. While (for all purposes I am "married" to belly dance, I have a wild Mistress named Exotic Fitness). It's so nice to totally change gears. To be honest, it's helped me with my Belly Dancing. I'm more free with movement (not sexual), just less afraid to let go. I wouldn't give up my affair for nothing. HA!

I'm planning on doing a lap dance (well, of sorts) for my boyfriend and have been picking out tunes - these have been SOOO useful.
I am a bellydancer (well, actually an artist full time, bellydancer part time) and have never done a strip/lap dance for a boyfriend in the past. Actually quite nervous which is daft!

Here are some that i've picked which I think would be great for a sexy number

Hands Up 3:36 Black Eyed Peas Elephunk Hip-Hop
Use Me 3:41 Bill Withers Bill Withers' Greatest Hits R&B/Soul
After Dark (From "Dusk Till Dawn") 3:47 Graham BLVD Bella's Lullaby New Age
Fire 2:24 Etta James Chess Soul Sisters R&B/Soul
        Candy Shop 3:30 50 cent
