What was the theme this month again? "Halloween Eyes" was last month (which I've still been slacking on), and this month was mentioned in a e-mail I think I deleted...

    Colorful Junk.
I'm still not finding anything colorful or junky enough to fulfill this :(

    Hello everybody,

Just a reminder that F-Stop Reno will be meeting on saturday December 8th at 10:00 am. Meeting location is same as October (sorry about November) 695 Colorado River Blvd, Reno NV

Very excited to see everybody's rendition of both Halloween Eyes, and colorful junk! In addition, it looks like we are going to be hit with a significant storm on Friday (Keep our hopes up!) If this is the case, Saturday's meeting will include an opportunity to go out and shoot "First Snow" We will either hit somewhere in the Truckee Meadows if it comes down to the Valley Floor, or trip up Highway 80 or 341 to catch it in the mountains. Nothing like the first snow of the year!

So please bring your bling! (Cameras) and if you have a polarizing lens that is strongly recommended! I haven't heard from Kyle or Chris yet, but hoping we will get to see demonstrations of both a lens-baby and a 0-360 lens attachment.

I'm still hoping to be getting rid of my Epson 5500 printer. Interested parties be sure to have a car with a large (not that large) trunk. If more than one person wants the printer we'll put names in a hat.

Aaah! Recommend me a polarizing lens! :P I have the kit lens (18-55) and a 50mm/1.8. I'd go down to Gordon's to grab one, but I have no idea what I should look for, with me being a newbie and all.

What you looking for is a polarizing FILTER, it screws into the front of the lens. Normally used to cut glare and reflections as well as deepen/darken a blue sky. Best thing to do when buying one, is get one filter for your biggest lens and then adapting rings for any smaller lenses.

        FYI the 18-55 takes a 58mm filter, and the 50mm takes a 52mm filter..
