We know this mercurial phenomenon.
One of my best memories is the old snack.
a saltine, a squirt of whip cream, and a squirt of lime.
sometimes i'd make a sandwich. other times, naturally i'd eat them in seperate mouthfuls, not to mix the flavors at all.
I probably always ate this way, especially as a kid, and i notice it a lot now.
Now, i can never decide if i want to mix or seperate my foods!
