Hi. Tomorrow I want to indulge in some special lettering. I'm considering buying some foam stamps and the paint that come with it, or one of those rubbery/squishy/gummy alphabets that you peel off and stick on a plastic block, turn it over and stamp. I think you use an ink pad for them. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?!! Anyway, what do you think is the difference in effect? Preferences? Thank you!

Re: Can anyone explain the difference?
Fri, November 11, 2005 - 10:18 PMI've never been happy with those. The "squishiness" of the foam just doesn't produce a nice crisp impression. I'd go with a hard rubber stamp. You can get an inexpensive alphabet set at Walmart for about $10-$12. They are small letters. I sell rubber stamps and have a preference for the wood mounted kind, but some people like the acrylic blocks that you can stick the soft images to. Call me old school, but I've been getting great results with my wood-mounteds for years. hth... -

Sun, November 13, 2005 - 11:24 AMI have foam letters made by making memories and I also have hard stamps. I like them both. I don't really have a preference.
