Hello all!
I've just moved to North Carolina from Texas. I've been spinning poi for a year or so and added fire a few months ago. Does anyone in this tribe know other fire spinners/hoopers/whatevers I can meet?
Also, sadly I couldn't go to Burning Man this year (because of the move). Is there a tribe/theme camp from near the Raleigh area that could use an extra pair of helping hands for next year?

Tue, September 8, 2009 - 9:46 AMYes, the Hoop Jam is an excellent way to meet some of our crew. It's at Pullen Park every Wed from 6:30 - dark. Drummers drum and hooper and poi spinners and dancers play. It's free and fun. Come in from Ash Ave. Go past the indoor swimming pool on your right and go up to the 2nd parking level across from the big gazebo. You'll hear us in front of the big gazebo.

Tue, September 8, 2009 - 10:33 AMp.s. We don't have a themecamp at the big burn but Bubble Camp represents at Transformus every year and we definitely need helping hands! I worked way too hard this year so next year I'm looking for volunteers who bring it, volunteer and are self-directed helpers. Bubble Camp offers several things, including healthy delicious evening meals for our campers and visitors, a Life Drawing Salon, a Poetry Salon, The Ripe-n-Juicy Watermelon Parade and the Love Lounge.
