First F.U.D.G.E Gathering was a BLAST!

Thank you everyone who came! Yes it is 1130, and I just got up a half hour ago....
The dancing, the music the lauging and talking and becoming friends was the most amazing! I am so happy to find other dancers out there who believe like we do!

Different music, fun music, fun times!


So.... Should we start looking in Albany for the next Hafla? (I figure that its most central)

Anyone know of good places there??? I'll do some checking. we may have to "pay" a little to rent a place... but if we have tons of fun... who cares huh?

    That was the most fun I've had in eons!
    yah, what you said. I'm still smiling on some of the stuff. Love the lasting giggles in memory.

    I look forward to the next gathering. I loved the drum only. So amazing the creation of the beat and dance.

    Do you think it will be monthly? I had a really good time...and learned alot...and want to keep connecting! A few bucks is always worth it!!

      I would love it to be a monthly thing.
      Anyone want to help in getting something like that going?
      I'll ask for a Lodge somewhere if I have someone's help in getting it going, set up, sending out the word...etc. Not on my own though.

        I'm all for salem! I was thinking albany because its central for so many peeps...

        We do need to think about those of us with kids and not an all the time sitter too. IS it going to be kid friendly type of thing...
        I would like to see it as such for some events, no kids for others... (I need my crazy time)... =)

          to me thats what Guerilla Tribal is about Teivella, If you understand a fundamental premise of tribal dancing being "Improvisational" stylized tribal formations. You are there mentally. How do I explain that.

          For Jasmine who is also favors fusion of cabarat dance styles. She is a pure Guerilla tribal dancer. Because she does forms of dance when she is leading easy enough for us to keep up with her. She thinks outside of the "American Tribal Style" box. But still keeps the dance pure enough for us to play along.

          Guerilla tribal is about fusion of dance styles. ATS is a backbone in it. However ATS does have snippets of Cabaret style dancing in its language too. With a few minor differences.

          hip circles, Mayas, circle formation dancing, folk dance all sorts of styles fit into the "Fusion Box"

          I know for a fact you are a guerilla girl

    I have to say I really enjoyed myself... maybe one of these months I can host one in Corvallis... I have a couple spots in mind >.<

    it would also be kinda cool if those of us teaching/going to seadoggs got together a bit more and made a couple routines/ know others signals for what moves... IDK just a thought. That way we kinda look more like a unified group.

      so yah... we need to hook up...

      my house is usualy open for practice, its easier that way for me cuz I do have the two beasts...

      but I'm open to any kid friendly house... (they are pretty well behaved for the most part).

    what one of my last troops in so Cali did for fair was to bring out the uniqueness in each others dance in performance, doing solo's, deuts and trios, then we all had specific moves we would do when we all danced together, they were mostly more simple tribal ATS moves since we all came from different parts of So Cali with different moves and styles. We just picked out alot of the basics and some unique moves when we all danced together. We should do something like that. I have a huge space at my house. plenty of room for many girls to dance, almost a dance studio! Just get together and work on some basics and queing so we could all dance together on stage. Then each of us do our own dances. We should have a seadogs pre-get-together for dancers gathering and talk about this and work on things so we can appear to sorta be a tribe somewhat. Or at least have a great story to go along with our stage performances, some co-hesiv, some different. what do you all think?

      this sounds wonderful... mostly because I dont know anything about tribal (being a fusion cabaret dancer) and I would love to learn- and your right we do need to have our individual moments as well... but some work together might really be impressive!
