Sat, May 31, 2008 - 6:30 PMI don't know if you are still making this, but I would love to try a hand at it myself. Where did you get the culture? Is there a way I could get it from you? How different is the actual organism to Kombucha?

Re: jun?
Sun, October 5, 2008 - 8:02 AMIt seems really hard to get a handle on what this is, so I am skeptical. One possibility is that it is simply kombucha with herbs added.
For those wanting to create bubbly medicine the lacto fermented-soda recipe linked to below is wonderful. I make this with a lot of different herbs and it is always yummy! The last one I made was black currant-raspberry. I have made chamomile, nettle and many others. Over the years I have taught this to my herbal students and they love it too!

Re: jun?
Sat, April 4, 2009 - 6:31 PMNo No No.
Kombucha is black tea with sugar
Jun is green tea with honey
Jun does not reproduce "daughters" like kombucha, which is why it is trickier to grow, also there are only a few Jun cultures around it is very rare.
One guy in Oregon has it and he sells it at outrageous prices.
I hope more people to go to Nepal and bring it back.
