Who is your favorite god in FR? Least favorite? Why?

Favorite: Bane. He is such the epitome of evil. I was bummed when he was "killed" and Cyric took over.

Least favorite: Lathander. Could he be any more gay? (not that there is anything wrong with that).

    I really liked Lolth, and her whole craziness. She's a wonderful villainess deity, and I find the chaos/ugly beauty of the drow and thier deity fascinating. I'm also fond of Talos, because Storms are fun. :) Oh, and Mask always seemed like he would be charming and wonderful fun even while taking everything you value.

    I really never cared much for Bhaal. I just never really thought there was a need for both a god of murder and a god of death. And I really hated Cyric from the get go, he was an annoying character, he didn't improve with godhood.

    Least favorite:
    Kelemvor: How can this wuss become god of the dead? Sheesh
    Cyric: Goofball undeserving of his titles.
    Lathlander: An evil sissy god clothed in goody/neutral garb.

    oh and Myrkul was god of the dead and Bhaal was god of death

      NO need to apologize for what you like, but you spelled my name wrong. :)

      Gotta love those names that are just scary to try to read outloud. :) My son is amused by me trying to say Iyachtu Xvim. :) He didn't believe me that xvarts were an actual D&D critter til I showed him them in the book, either.

    I always kinda liked Tempus. He carried himself with dignity and honor, but he could seriously lay down an ass-whoopin' too!

    On the other hand, I never really cared for Midnight (the NEW Mystra). She seemed too good to me... after all if she is so good, why not just deny evil mages and creatures such as liches access to the Weave? A god/goddess of magic would have to be more neutral. I always liked Adon being her high priest though. It made her seem a bit more human, and it meant that not EVERYONE in the party became a god...

    I have only read overviews of the 'Avatars' series, so I won't be referencing any of those guys.

    From the perspective of a brand new fan, the more I learn about Muhorand the more I like.

    Runner Ups: Ilmater, Torm, Loviatar
    Least Fave: Waukeen (why do rich merchants need a god?)
